Today at a flea Market I found what appears to be an unused Circular Saw blade setting tool (Cat # 93530) that apparently is used in your table saw miter slot.Of course it has no instruction booklet/sheet. Much appears to be intuitive, but not all.A quick on-line search did not yield instructions. Can anyone here help?Thank you.Ray |

Searching eBay for: Craftsman "circular saw set" (with the quotes as shown) turns up 34 for sale, some with the instruction manual. Doing a web search for the same phrase finds half a dozen or more for sale on various sites, including eBay, Kijiji, etsy, Facebook and more. This one on Facebook has a photo of the instruction manual, where a couple of pages might just be readable (or not). https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/772499704473764 --Chris Check out H-frame, the site for vintage Black & Decker Workmates https://h-frame.weebly.com/ |

Holy cow, hammer setting a blade that's going to be cutting wood at 3450 RPM. Sounds terrifying. Maybe if you are cutting from a tree it's OK, but for finished wood for your masterpiece, maybe not. Let me suggest that you learn how to set up a dial indicator to check your work before you actually put a blade to use after setting. Back when I first started using a table saw, I sent my 2nd hand (came with the saw) blade to be sharpened by a well known retailer of WW tools, to their facility somewhere on the east coast. When it came back, it cut worse than before. In the meantime, I had found a localish place, now out of business, that could check their work, and if needed, resharpen it for me. Drove the saw over there, and he spun it on his dial indicator equipped setup, and found two teeth out of line axially (not set correctly) by 3-4 thousandths. He then checked it radially (height of teeth), and a different 3-4 were higher than the rest. But anyway, following Chris' suggestion to copy multiple images of the instructions seems to be a decent idea. My searching isn't turning up anything better. Also remember, Craftsman didn't make anything themselves. They found someone else who already sold it, and paid to have their name put on it. Or came up with an idea, and got someone to build it. So you may find a similar tool under another brand name. Looks like MW sold one that's similar https://books.google.com/books?id=AeADAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA235&dq=%22circular+saw+set%2 2&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiD0qefxIf_AhVgPkQIHb7ZCzwQ6AF6BAgCEAI#v=onepage&q=%22cir cular%20saw%20set%22&f=false Kirk in Half Moon Bay, CA, shuffling stuff around the garage. Send the Facebook seller a message asking to copy the instructions and mail to you. Bet she would be glad to do that |

Thank you to those that responded with help. For some reason the links came back with a message that I could not connect with the link. However I do believe that I understand all the parts in the kit now IF I ever do decide to sharpen and set a circular saw blade with the tools. Tanks again to all with help and advice. Ray -----------------------------------------From: "Chris Wolf" To: oldtools@g...
