This looks almost exactly like a Hammacher Schlemmer & Co Molding
Spokeshave as shown on page 313, plate 13/10 of The Spokeshave Book.

Rumored to be about 1930s vintage, based on units manufactured by Geral,
but don't look the same.  The Gerals did not show the center "shoe" that
yours has (at least not in the examples pictured). Geral is listed as
carriage makers tools, and their "molding shaves" have the same cutter set
up, but without the center "shoe"  p313 plate 13/4.

I cant get the HS& Co catalogs to download (1170 pgs) right now from
Archive.org, but may only be a 1914 version.
