If it wasn't so depressing (and profitable for some of us), I'd have to 
laugh at the number of people who will throw things out rather than try and 
fix them.  Fixing an extension cord is something you shouldn't even have to 
think about.

And a 10 gauge cord - That's a pretty good cord.
