Michael,

I'm confused.  If your jack plane is bedded at 45 degrees and your
primary bevel is 25 degrees you still have 20 degrees of (theoretical)
clearance angle.  A two degree microbevel won't give you a negative
clearance angle in this case, but if it would then adding the same
secondary bevel to a 30 degree (15 degree clearance) iron will
exacerbate the problem.

Or am I missing something?
