35228 markf1@m... (Mark A Finlayson) 1998‑01‑24 BIO: Mark Finlayson
Well, I've been lurking long enough I'm a little ashamed of not having put
in a bio yet. I live in Nashua, NH. I got started in woodworking about 4
years ago while building a boat. I used tailed apprentices on this (not
knowing any better) but I soon found that I was much more comfortable using
hand tools.

Since then, I've managed to finally finish the first galoot project & make
a couple of nice dovetailed boxes as Christmas presents - this seems to
work better than going out & buying something.

I don't really have a collection of old tools - they just accumulate. One
of my next projects has got to be somewhere to put them, or I won't have
room for more.

Welcome to the porch Mark. Pull up a chair, ask some questions, and have
some fun.

Ah yes, handmade gifts are always appreciated more than store bought.

They do that without any help from us. Yep, they do.

So, what's the problem? Just make up some more of those dovetailed boxes
and put 'em in the boat. :^) Of course you do have to figure out what
wood, what size boxes, how many dividers, what kind of lids, etc. By the
time you get a handle on a design you'll find you have bought enough
additional tools so they don't fit. So back to the drawing board. ;-)

Old tools don't follow us home. They lead the way!
