Those are both nice. From the image I can't tell the wood. It looks almost
like it has been dyed over the original color, but that might be the image.

FWIW, for those who like scraping, I have enjoyed using Stewart McDonald's very
thick scrapers in various sizes. Stew-Mac sells lutherie wood and tools and
parts and these are great for hand-held scraping. I've been making boxes of
various sorts, including some nice fly tying boxes
https://www.mvr1.com/boxes.html)my favorites are with curly maple from Pete
Taran's brother at CurlMaple.com and these scrapers work wonders both on wild
wood and on epoxy fillers on wild walnut. Not an old tool but you can find them
at: https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tools-and-supplies/types-of-

FWIW,

Mark
