Galloping Galoots!
I just found the fitted cherry box for my marking knife, ratting and rummaging
around the shop as I do---it's a great knife, arrow-pointed and double-edged, so
that one can draw a line off the *flat* of the knife on the left or right side
of a straightedge and needn't ever consider the thickness of the tool---I know
I'm describing it badly and I know you all know what I'm talking about---anyway,
the lovely box, which I put away long ago, has a pencilled inscription in the
lid: 'For Gary May Bretton Wade, 2004'...
I hope you're as happy as I am that you gave it to me, old friend, must've
been some twenty years ago.
With love, respect and best wishes always; gam in OlyWA/USA
and all the best to all galoots everywhere on this magnificent earth!
