278259 Tony Seo 2024‑02‑12 FS: The Toolz Of 2024 List 2-1
Well here we are again what with February being close to 1/2 way down
the drain already.  Crazy weather continues here with it being 55F here
on Sat and looking at somewhere between 3" to 5" all the way up to 7" to
12" of snow for tomorrow.  Sigh......  Anyways, I'm managed to snag a
few items at the fleas, but not much, and I'm still digging in the piles
here for stuff and there are lots of fresh goodies this time around.

PayPal is preferred (if you use it) on all items. It's easier for me to

ship items off of a paid PayPal invoice, especially First Class ones.

Checks and money orders are still welcome.

And remember........da more ya buy, the cheaper they fly!

First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Prices do not include shipping.  All items are shipped with Delivery
Confirmation. Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile item
is optional. Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff via
First Class mail. There will be a small amount added to the shipping
cover the cost of the padded mailer. I don't get them for free.

Please put your name and address in the message. Saves time and email
traffic!

Buck Bros Cast Steel No 17 5/8 Inch Bent Gouge Carving Tool. Measuring 4
5/8" from the edge to the top of the handle, the blade is 5/8" wide
across the sweep, the sweep is a No. 17, this is 9 5/8" overall, and
this weighs 4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was
cleaned.  The inside of the sweep is clean save for some light scuffs.
The back is also good.  The edge will need a quick touch up.  The handle
is original and signed.  That has some stains, but it's solid.  This is
a top quality tool and they sure ain't getting any easier to find.  Just
saying.  $27.00

Original CW Era Mainspring Vise.  Measuring 1 11/16" high, the jaw is 2
3/8" long, and this weighs 2 1/2 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the
maker.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  There are some
spots of pitting on the body  and jaw.  The main screw works, that
travels the full distance and holds.  The jaw also travels the full
distance, but the screw holding the jaw to the body, does not turn.
This ain't minty, but these guys are sure getting few and very far
between, and they ain't cheap when you do find one.  Just saying.  $65.00

Greenlee No 900 24 Inch Brace Auger Bit Extension.  Measuring 24" long
and this weighs 1 lb 4 3/4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned.  There are few light spots of patina on the
chuck area, but nothing too bad.  The shaft has some staining and some
light pitting down by the shaft.  The chuck works and was oiled (I put a
bit in it).  This ain't minty, but it will allow you to stick yer bit
deeper than you ever could have imagined.  Just saying.  $19.00

Precision-Bilt 3/4 Inch Bevel Side Paring Chisel.  Measuring 6 13/16"
from the edge to the end of the socket, the blade is 4 5/16" long, this
is 10 5/16" overall, and this weighs 5 1/4 oz unboxed. Precision-Bilt
was a brand name used by Spiegel Inc. on their line of wood working
tools.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  The back
is good save for some light scuffs.  There are some dings on the sides.
The edge will need some work.  The top has some frosting and staining.
The socket does have some deep dings or what have you on the sides.  The
handle looks to be original.  That has some stains and wear to the end
leather washer, but it's solid. I did not have it off of the tool.  This
ain't pristine, but I sure ain't seen too many of these guys around.  $17.00

Millers Falls No 4 T-Auger Handle.  Measuring 15 1/8" long and this
weighs 2 lbs 13 1/4 oz unboxed.  This isn't signed, but few of these
were.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  The finish on the
chuck and head area is worn.  The chuck and jaws are good and the
ratchet works in both directions and the locked position.  The fixed
handle has a poorly done hanging hole.  The spinning section on the
removable handle doesn't turn and was probably glued on at some point.
The handle does remove and works in both holes.  This guy ain't pretty
or perfect, but it will get the job done.  $45.00

No. 2,737,837 on Mar. 3, 1956 for the design of this tool.  This is in
good condition and was cleaned.  There are a few small spots of light
patina, but nothing too bad.  The tips and joint are good.  I gotta say,
that this is sure not a very common tool, at least in my travels.  $16.00

Upson Nut Co No 69 1 Ft Folding Rule.  This weighs 1/2 oz unboxed. The
Upson Nut Co. was a Unionville CT toolmaker in business from 1854 until
1911.  This is in fair condition and was cleaned.  The outer segments
have some staining and the inside ones also have some spots.  The finish
is pretty much gone.  The insides have some scratch marks from the
pins.  The rulings are readable for the most part.  The joints are good
and the side pin is present.  This ain't minty, by any stretch, but
these smaller rules are sure getting few and far between.  $14.00

Vintage Trojan No 42 Coping Fret Saw.  Measuring 10 5/8" overall, the
blade is 4 1/4" long, the throat is 2 1/2" deep, and this weighs 4 1/2
oz unboxed.  This is in good condition and was not cleaned. The frame is
clean other than a little staining.  All the screws work.  The blade is
probably the original one.  That is fairly sharp.  The handle has some
stains, but has all of the original finish.  This is a solid tool that
will get the job done.  $16.00

Stanley No 3 Type 16 Smooth Or Smoothing Plane.  This weighs 3 lbs 1 3/4
oz unboxed.  This is a Type 16 and was made by Stanley between 1933 and
1941.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  The sides
have some spots of very light pitting and some frosting, but nothing too
bad.  The sole has more of the same along with some light scratches.
The japanning is original and 98% present.  There are a few small bits
of funky.  The lever cap has almost all of the plating and is good other
than a few dots.  The chipbreaker has some frosting.  The blade has some
light pitting and patina on the exposed areas and the back, but the
cutting face is clean and there is lots to work with.  The blade has
some tiny dings on the edge and will need a sharpening.  The tote and
knob have almost all of the original finish.  There are some dings and a
few tiny bits of paint, but they are solid.  All the screws work and
were oiled.  This ain't pristine, but it sure ain't bad, and it will get
the job done.  $55.00

the edge to the end of the handle), the head is 3 3/16" wide, 3 1/4"
high at the center, and this weighs 6 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the
maker.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There is
some overall light patina.  You can see the grain of the wrought iron
that this was made from.  The edge is good save for a little wear at the
corners.  The handle is solid and good. THis is a good looking example
of this tool, and they sure ain't getting any easier to find.  $32.00

edge to the end of the socket, the blade is 3 3/8" long, this is 9 1/8"
overall, and this weighs 3 1/2 oz unboxed.  This is one of the newer
versions without the model number on the socket.  This is in reasonably
good condition and was cleaned.  There is a patch of light pitting on
the back up by the edge, after that it's clean. The top and socket are
also good.  The edge has some chipping and will need some work.  The
handle has almost all of the original finish, plus a coat of wax.  There
are some dings and a few tiny bits of paint.  This ain't pristine, but
it will get the job done. $25.00

11/16" long, 1 15/16" wide, 2 7/16" high, and this weighs 3 lbs 1/4  oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was not cleaned.  There is some overall staining, but
nothing too bad patina wise.  The edges are cripsy good.  The side
screws for the clamp work as does the top hold down screw.  This ain't
got the fancy maker's mark, but it's a solid tool that will get the job
done.  $19.00

CT were granted Pat. No. 399,490 on Mar. 12, 1889 for the design of this
tool.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There is
some overall light patina.  The tip is good, but there is a little wear
to the anvil face.  The joint and spring are good.  The fence adjustment
screw and the depth screw both work and were oiled.  This ain't minty,
but seeing as how it's at the least 115 years old, well it ain't too
bad, and this tool is not very common either.  $27.00

center bead iron, a 7/8" side bead iron, a 1 1/16" quirked bead iron,
and they weigh 7 oz unboxed.  These are in reasonably good condition and
were cleaned.  The faces have some staining, frosting, the rabbet iron
has a band of very light pitting down the one side, and the end one has
some light spots of rust.  A couple of the tangs have some dings, but
nothing too bad.  These ain't pristine, but they sure ain't getting any

1/2" long, the face is 2 1/4" high, 2 1/8" wide, the peen is 2 7/16"
high, and this weighs 9 lbs 11 1/2 oz unboxed.  Hubbard is a long time
maker of tools for the mining and railroad industries and is still in
business today, but this is one of the older ones.  This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is lots of patina, including some
dings and pitting.  The face has some wear, light dings, and a few small
chips around the rim.  The peen is fairly good save for some light dings
and wear.  The punched eye has some crusty on the inside.  This ain't
minty, but it's a quality old tool that will get the job done.  $27.00

This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  The body has some dings,
stains, and some bits of paint that refused to come off.  The iron sole
has some frosting, scuffs, stains, and other light patina.  The fence
screw is original and works.  The iron is fairly good.  There was a shin
on the one side of the wedge that got lost when I removed it, so I added
a new one.  The wedge does hold. This ain't the fanciest one of these
around, but most of these were made to do a job.  $30.00

3/16" and 5/16" and fit a No. 30/130, and they weigh 3 oz unboxed.

staining,  but nothing too bad.  The beam is straight and all the
rulings are readable.  The point is also good.  The head has some light
scuffs.  The screw has a couple of small dings on the top, but the
threads are good.  This ain't perfect, but it will get the job done.  $17.00

Measuring 4 9/16" long, the post hole is 3/16" in diameter, the dimple
is 1/4", and this weighs 7 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.
This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. There is some
frosting and light patina on the body.  The face has some dings and
wear, but the holes are good.  The striking end has some mushrooming and
I did run a file over some sharp spots there. This ain't perfect, but it

Taylor Patent 1836 Iron 6 1/2 Inch Bitstock.  Measuring 10 1/2" long,
the sweep is 6 1/2", and this weighs 1 lb 3 1/2 oz unboxed. Jeremy
Taylor of Hebron, CT was granted Pat. No. 9,814X on June 30, 1836 for
the design of this tool.  These were made by a number of makers and this
one isn't signed.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  Overall
the body is fairly good, save for some spots of light pitting.  The
chuck is solid with no cracks.  The locking tab joint pint was replaced
with a cooper one at some point in time.  The spring is a little weak,
but the tab is good.  There is a hole on the back side of the chuck
where it looks like a screw was going to go, but it was never tapped.
The pin that keeps the pad on the shaft was also replaced at some point
with a nail.  There is some play on the shaft, but it doesn't come off.
That was oiled. This ain't minty, but then tools of this age rarely are
and these smaller sweep ones aren't very common either.  $32.00

New England Edge Tool Wheelwrights 1 Inch Corner Chisel.  Measuring 11
3/8" from the edge to the end of the socket, the blade is 7" long, this
is 17 1/4" overall (as pictured), and this weighs 1 lb 8 1/2 oz
unboxed.  New England Edge Tool was a brand name used by Sargent.  This
is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  The backs have some
spots of light pitting up by the edges, some scuffs, and some frosting,
but overall nothing too bad.  The edges are fairly good, a little
uneven, and not shaving sharp either.  The inside of the blade has the
usual patina.  The socket has some light pitting and visible forge weld
line on the side, but it's solid. The handle is a replacement and looks
user crafted, but it's solid. I did not drive that in tight, because it
will make the shipping easier and cheaper.  This ain't minty, but it's a
quality tool that will get the job done.  $50.00

Big Early Shipbuilders Brass Blade & Mahogany Bevel Square.  The blade
is 12 15/16" long, 1 1/4" wide, the handle is 17" high, and this weighs
10 oz unboxed.  J A W made his mark on both sides of the handle so I'm
suspected him as the maker.  This is in reasonably good condition and
was cleaned.  The blade has some stains, dings, and some slight waves,
but the edges are good.  The mahogany handle has 5 stamped on both sides
in a number of spots and also on the end.  That also has some wear to
the edges, along with stains, and dings.  The copper rivet is good.
This holds position fairly well. This ain't minty, but these guys sure
do not show up very often, and this is one of those tools that has a
whole lotta history behind it.  Just saying.  $40.00

Hand Forged 1 lb Cross Peen Hammer.  Measuring 11 7/16" overall, the
head is 4 1/2" long, the face is 7/8 by 13/16"  in diameter, the peen is
1" wide, and this weighs 1 lb 4 1/2 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the
maker.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some
overall pitting and patina on the head.  The face is fairly good save
for some small dings as is the peen.  The square punched eye looks to be
good as well.  The handle is old and could be original to  the tool.
That has some stains, dings, some tiny bits of paint down in the grain,
and there is some roughness and the start of some chipping on the one
side.  It feels solid enough, but it's a handle.  This ain't the
prettiest, but it's an old dog that will still get the job done.  $19.00

Stanley No 66 B Casting Hand Beader Plane With Fence.   This weighs 14
oz unboxed.  The B casting mark shows up on Stanley tools that were made
between 1899 and 1902.  This is in reasonably good condition for being
120 years old and was not cleaned.  There is some plating loss on the
handles, on the back of the head, and on the sole.  The blade clamp also
has some light funky, but the screw works.  The fence is good and the
screw for that also works.  The sole is good other than the patina so to
speak.  This does NOT come with any blades.  This ain't pristine, but it
will get the job done.  $45.00

and this weighs 1 lb 13 3/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  I
did do some cleaning to get rid of some recent patina, but this guy is
pretty much fresh from the forged.  The peen was dressed and is good,
but they did get around to finishing the face.  The punched eye is good
save for a little light rust down in there.  I gotta say that this is a
neat and collectible hand forged tool. $17.00

gouge, 7/16" scraper, 7/16" skew chisel, 1/2" parting tool, 9/16" gouge,
1" skew chisel, and they weigh 2 lbs 15 oz unboxed.  These are in decent
good condition and were not cleaned, at least by me. NOTE: These are NOT
HSS.  The blades all have some staining, frosting, and some areas of
light pitting, but overall nothing too bad.  The edges will need a
little work.  The handles are good for the most part, save for some
stains and dings, but the handle on the 1" skew does have some checks at
the end.  These ain't pristine, but they are quality tools that will get
the job done.  $36.00

Early Hand Forged Wheelwright Traveler To RESTORE.  Measuring 15 5/8"
long, the wheel is 9" in diameter, and this weighs 1 lb 3/4 oz unboxed.
Not signed as to the maker.  Overall this is in decent condition and was
cleaned.  There is some light pitting and patina. The wheel is broken at
the forge weld where it was first pieced together.  The does have some
additional index marks around the rim besides the main one.  The joint
is a little stiff, but the wheel does turn.  The handle is fairly good.
This ain't pristine, but it sure ain't like these guys show up every day
either.  $35.00

Vintage Original .475 Roundball Black Powder Bullet Mold.  Measuring 5
1/8" long, the cavities are .475 or thereabouts, and this weighs 2 1/4
oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in decent condition
and was cleaned.  At some point, the cavities were refreshed with brass
and re-cut.  That's not quite perfect, but it's not bad either.  The
cavities close up tight with next to no light showing through.  The
joint is good as are the sprue cutters.  The handles have some light
pitting.  This is what it is, but it is kind of a neat one of these
guys.  $35.00

is 7/16" wide, the handle is 9/16" square, and this weighs 9 oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned.  There is a little light pitting on the tip,
but the edges are good.  The handle has some frosting and light patina,
but nothing too bad.  I gotta say, that this is a nicely made example of
this kind of tool.  $24.00

few tiny stained spots and some  light scratches, but nothing bad at
all.  All the rulings are readable (32nds on the front and 64ths on the
back) and the edges and corners are crispy good.  This is a top quality

has some stained spots on the 64ths side and a couple of dots of light
pitting on the 32nd's side, but all the rulings are readable and the
edges and corners are good.  This ain't minty, but it will get the job

This is in good condition, the only cleaning was to wipe sone gunky off
of the case.  The rule is clean and pulls out completely.  The case is

other than a soap and water wipe down to get rid of some gunk.  There
are some light scuffs and spots of staining on the satin finish.  All

good condition and was cleaned.  There are some spots of light pitting
on the head along with some user initials and light cut marks.  The face
and peen are good save for some light dings. The handle looks to be
original to the tool.  That has some dings, roughness, and more user
marks, but it feels solid enough.  The head does wiggle a touch.  This
ain't perfect, but the ATHA reputation for quality, has stood the test

(straight across), and they all weigh 15 oz unboxed.  A couple are
marked and the rest aren't.  These are in decent condition and were
cleaned by somebody else.  They all have some frosting and light patina
and a few of them have some light pitting.  The edges are worn on a few
of them as well, but they are good in that department for the most
part.  A few them also have old repairs, but they worked for the last
guy and will work for you.  These ain't minty, but it sure ain't getting

have had other tools with this mark.  This is in reasonably good

Unusual Wood Handle Founders Sand Trowel.  Measuring 3 9/16" long across
the face, 2" wide, 2 3/4" high, and this weighs 8 oz unboxed.  Not
signed as to the maker, my guess is that this was user crafted.  This is
in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  The face has a couple of
spots of very light pitting and a little wear on the edges, but overall
nothing too bad.  The oak handle has some thin checks and stains, but
it's solid and on tight.  I gotta say, that this is not a very common

in reasonably good condition and was cleaned by someone else.  There is
some light patina, but this guy was never real pretty to start with.

Early Stanley Rule & Level Excelsior Body No 9 1/2 Block Plane. This
weighs 1 lb 6 oz unboxed.  This has the 4 patent dates on the lateral
lever, 1876, 1884, 1888, and, 1888, which show up on planes made from
1890 until 1897.  That puts this guy, at the very least, 126 years old.
This is in fair condition and was cleaned.  The sides have some frosting
and light pitting, and both have small cracks on the tops of the
cheeks.  The sole has some overall pitting.  The mouth adjuster works,
the lever is pitted and the patent dates are long gone from there.  The
japanning is original and about 50%.  The cap has some light patina and
wear to the finish, but that is solid, and the lever works.  The blade
also has some overall pitting.  There is next to nothing of the Stanley
mark left on there other than a few letters.  All the screws work and
were oiled.  This is what it is, it ain't pretty or perfect, and it sure
ain't got that kinda price tag, but these guys sure do not show up very
often any more.  $35.00

John Sanderson Sheffield Brass Backed Back Saw.  Measuring 18" overall,
the blade is 13 3/4" long, 2 3/8" high at the toe (from the edge to the
start of the back), 2 9/16" high right in front of the tote, this is
sharpened to 12 PT (11 TPI), and this weighs 1 lb 5 1/2 oz unboxed.
John Sanderson was a Sheffield England maker of saws who worked from
1821 until 1852.  This is in decent condition. it looks like the blade
was cleaned at some point, but not by me. The blade has some spots of
pitting, most of which are light, a few a bit deeper.  The edge has a
very slight wave, but all the teeth are present.  This will need a
sharpening.  The tote is beech.  That has some stains, dings, and wear.
There is some chipping on the end of the lower horn and a few smaller
ones on the top horn.  This is missing the one saw nut and the screw
post is gone as well.  This is what it is, but seeing as how it's over
170 years old, well it ain't all that bad.  Just saying.  $60.00

only cleaning was a wipe down with some penetrating oil to get rid of

15 13/16" overall, the blade is 9 3/4" long, this is 1 7/16" wide at the
edge and tapers down to 1 5/16" at the socket, and this weighs 2 lbs 6
3/4 oz unboxed.  John Beatty was a Chester PA area tool maker who worked
from 1838 until 1875.  This is in fair condition and was cleaned.  This
did not have a very pretty life. Read on.  There are some pitted spots
on the back and a bunch of lighter pin point pitted holes over the
entire back.  The steel does look to run the full distance of the blade
as far as I can tell. The edge will need some work.  The sides have some
dings.  The top has a bunch of cut marks.  The socket has some light
patina, but it's solid and was never struck.  This will need a handle, I
do not have any here that will fit.  This ain't pretty or perfect, but

17" overall, the blade is 7 7/8" long, a little over 1 1/8" wide across
the edge, and this weighs 1 lb 2 1/2 oz unboxed. This design was
patented by Richard Watrous on Dec. 15, 1857 (Pat. No. 18,877) and was
originally made by the Noble Mfg. Co.  This is in decent condition and
was cleaned and it wasn't the first time. Somebody had previously and
rather aggressively, cleaned the back of the blade, and there is some
overall scuffing, along with some small spots of pitting.  The top is
good and was never hit.  The edge will need some work.  The front also
has some light scuffs, frosting, and light pitting.  Both of the handle
adjuster nuts work and were oiled.  The handles are black walnut.  Both
of those do move around on the tangs.  This ain't pretty or perfect, but
is is a quality tool that will get the job done.  $50.00

was cleaned.  The japanning is gone.  The face has some frosting and a
wee bit of pitting, but nothing too bad.  There is a noticeable casting
flaw on the back of the face.  The screw hole and tabs are good.  I did
not get the screw or any other parts.  This ain't minty, but if ya need

this all weighs 9 3/4 oz unboxed.  Made in the good old U.S. Of A.
These are in decent condition and were not cleaned.  The tools look to
be cadmium plated.  They all have some grease stains along with some
spots of rust.  All of the tips are good.  The canvas roll has some

body looks to be maple.  That has some stains, dings, and there is a
spot on the one side of then straight face, where somebody tried to
"erase" some user initials with a chisel and didn't do a pretty job of
it.  The straight face is good save for a few light dings on the edges
and the round brass face also has some light dings.  This ain't

John S. Chafee of Providence, RI was granted Pat. No. 2,085,461 on June

condition and was cleaned.  The finish is original and is good save for
a few light dings.  The machined face has a couple of tiny and light
dots of pitting, but nothing that will affect this being used.  The
locking screw and tab are good.  The set screws for the fine adjustment
and the locking screws all work. This ain't pristine, but it will get

of the handle is good.  The blade has some frosting and staining.  The
working edge is slightly convex and is fairly good.  The straight edge

TWO Schauer Eastern PA Molding Planes To Collect OR Restore.  The one is
a 1/2" quarter round, the other is a 1 1/4" complex molder, and they
weigh 1 lb 14 1/2 oz unboxed. The Schauer family made planes in the East
Petersburg PA (Lancaster County) in the early part of the 19th Century,
but which one these are from, I cannot say.  These are in as found
condition and were not cleaned other than to take some crud off of the
one mark.  The smaller one has some checks, stains, and the start of
some dry rot on the one side, but it's fairly solid.  The sole is good.
The wedge has some roughness.  The larger complex has some very thin
body checks, some dings and stains, but nothing much too bad.  The sole
and mouth are good.  There is an added fence extension.  The wedge is
broken off. Both irons have some light crusty on the faces, but should
clean up okay.  These ain't pretty or perfect, but this is not a very
commonly found maker.  $55.00

Vintage Small Plumb Leader Ball Peen Hammer.  Measuring 8 1/16" overall,
the head is 2 5/8" long, the face is 11/16" in diameter, the peen is
5/8" in diameter, and this weighs 6 1/4 oz unboxed. This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is some light patina on the head.  The
face does have some dings and there a couple of light ones on the peen.
The handle is original, but was shortened a little at some point in
time.  Somebody also hit it with the shiny stuff.  This ain't pristine,
but it will get the job done.  $16.00

G N Stearns 1878 Patent Adjustable Chairmaker Hollow Auger. Measuring 6
5/8" high, and this weighs 1 lb 4 1/2 oz unboxed. George N. Stearns of
Syracuse, NY was granted Pat. No. 203,384 on May 7, 1878 for the overall
design of this tool.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.
There is some wear to the finish on the body.  The face has some overall
light rusting and patina.  All the screws work and hold.  The blade
isn't the longest, but there is enough to work with.  That will need a
quick touch up on the edge. THe depth stop is MIA, like most of these.
The tang has some dings on the edges, but there is plenty left to get
into a brace chuck. This ain't pretty or perfect, but seeing as it's at
least 125 years old, well it ain't too bad, and it will get the job
done.  $40.00

Stanley No 93 Door Butt & Rabbet Gage To Collect Or RESTORE. This weighs
4 oz unboxed.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  The plating
on the body has some light funky and is worn in a few spots.  The
plating on the fence is good and there is some frosting.  The side screw
was replaced at some point, but it works. The blade screw on the slider
does not turn, the back one does and was oiled.  This is missing the
back fence, screw, and the piece that goes inside the body to hold the
screw.  This sure ain't pretty or perfect, but this sure ain't got the
price tag of one that is. Just saying.  $17.00

edges are 1 11/16" wide, this is 15/16" high at the center of the eye,
and this weighs 1 lb 10 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This
is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall
light patina, but nothing too bad.  The edges have some wear, but no
cracks, and would need a quick touch up.  The punched eye is good to
go.  This is a solid tool and these guys sure ain't getting any easier
to come by.  $22.00

the jaws are  4 11/16" deep, and this weighs 4 1/2 oz unboxed.  This is
in decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall light
pitting.  The one jaw has a little bit of a bend to it.  The lap style
joint has a little play to it.  This ain't minty, but this is not a
commonly found tool by this maker.  $28.00

L S Starrett No 135 Machinist Pocket Level.  This weighs 3/4 oz

This is ruled in 100ths and 16ths on the front and 32nds and 64ths on
the back.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There
is a little staining and user initials on the front, but overall nothing
too bad.  All the rulings are readable and the edges and corners are
good.  This ain't perfect, but it will get the job done.  $15.00

(from the tips to the top of the spring) and this weighs 1/2 oz
unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There
are some spots of light patina on the legs.  The tips and spring are
good.  The nut travels the full distance, but the screw is missing the
ball at the end.  This ain't perfect, but it will get the job done.  $24.00

design of this tool which was made by the Fred C. Bruel Tool Works also
of Bridgeport, CT.  This is in good condition and was not cleaned.  The
plating has some scuffs and light dots but nothing too bad.  The edges
are good and the rulings are readable.  This ain't perfect but it's
better than most of these that I see.  $18.00

Hand Forged 11/16 Bowel Spindle Gouge Lathe Tool.  Measuring 12 5/16"
overall, the blade is 4 1/4" long, 11/16" wide across the inside of the
sweep, and this weighs 8 1/2 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.
I'm pretty sure that it ain't HSS either.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned.  There ain't much in the way of patina to
fuss about.  There is some light roughness on the inside of the sweep,
left over from when this was made.  The back is good save for a few
light spots of pitting.  The edge  cound stand a quick touch up.  The
tang end is good.  This will need a handle.  So this ain't got a fancy
maker's name, but it is a well crafted tool that will get the job done.

and holds position.  Both the point clamp and the pencil clamp work.  I
do not have the right sized pencil (5/16" diameter) for this guy   This

Original 18th Century .64 Roundball Musket Mold.  Measuring 5 7/8" long,
the cavities measure to .64 and this weighs 6 1/2 oz unboxed. Not signed
as to the maker.  I'm thinking this was made for the French Charleville
musket.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There
are some spots of patina, but considering how old this guy is, there is
nothing too bad.  The cavities have some light rust.  The head has a
chip off of the outside and spot where it's starting to flake, and this
is missing the locator tab at the top, but the head sections align
pretty well flush.  There is a little daylight showing through the
seam.  The joint is good with no play.  The handles are good save for
some spots of light pitting.  I gotta say that these original molds in
these larger sizes are few and very far between.  $200.00

ruled in metric on the front side and English on the back side.  There
is a little staining and some light scuffs, but nothing too bad.   Both
scales are readable.  The joint, tips, and locking screws are all good.

on the sides.  The socket had some mushrooming cleaned off at some point
in time.  The handle was replaced by somebody else.  That has some
