I have been away for a few days and just saw this post. Does anyone have
any updates?

I was pleasantly surprised to have bumped into Sandy at the Nashua tool
auction last month. I hadn't seen him in a few years and had also been
wondering about him. I knew that he left the tool business a few years
back, selling off all his stock, to focus mainly on his passion for whaling
artifacts.

When I saw him a few weeks back he looked fantastic, the usual Sandy with
his quick wit. In fact the first thing he said to me was something along
the lines of "So what have you been up to? other than putting on some
weight?" (punctuated with a poke to my midsection). We had a nice
conversation about all sorts of things. I learned he had a hard time last
year with some medical issues (mostly orthopedic) but was feeling much
better. I also confirmed that his website is no longer under his control
and he'd like someone to take over the custody of his trove of
brace information.  It was fantastic to see him out there at the tailgate
sale.

I'm concerned about John's post. I don't follow any of the tool groups on
Facebook. Has anyone heard an update?
