I didn't heat treat, at least in part because I wanted to try them first
to ensure the angles were good. Getting mirrored compound angles on
round stock was a bit tricky. I've since made angle guides - various
angles -that fit the rest on my little belt sander/grinder. They will
help with other tools as well. I may treat them eventually...
