Gentle Galoots:

In this significant crowd of extra-large humans, Brent Beach was a giant. Too
soon, man, too soon.

Thanks for that. The news sucks though. Brent's contributions to wood
craft cannot be overstated. His methodical and analytical approach to
sharpening, and his focus on inexpensive methods and hand-crafted jigs
has proven very helpful to me. He was a true Galoot. I recently built
chisel-honing jigs for myself and my S-I-L based upon his design, and
and am very happy with the results.

I have been using his method for honing plane irons with great success
for some years.

He will be missed. Hopefully, his web site will be maintained.
