G'day Ed,

Judging by the shape of the top of the iron and the dark blue colour of 
the body that is an early, possibly even a pre WWII example.

The top line of the text will be the word "RECORD" in a single line 
surround, straight line above and below the word RECORD and 
semi-circular ends
below that is "MADE IN ENGLAND'
below that, arched over the top of the slot is "BEST CRUCIBLE CAST"
and below that, one word either side of the slot is    "TUNGSTEN" and 
"STEEL"

Later irons have a curved top rather than the straight top on the one in 
your pic.

"RECORD" in a border, but the border ends more squared off than the 
earlier irons
below that "TUNGSTEN VANADIUM"
centred below that "STEEL"
and below that: "MADE IN ENGLAND"

I don't have any idea about the age of the pamphlet.
