Let's see, I think I've been hanging here 5 years or so, although it feels
like I joined just yesterday! Why is time starting to fly by so quickly?
I'm 56 now, same SWMBO of now 29 years. We've got three daughters: Oldest
is 28 and an architect. Middle is 26 and a graphic designer (also engaged,
with a date set for next summer). Youngest is 8 (still haven't figured out
how she happened!) and still on track to become a singing scientist. Our
beagle Molly is now chasing rabbits up in the sky somewhere and has since
been replaced by Mac, also a beagle. Nothing like a good house and shop
beagle. Still hammering out powder metal parts in my plant, although our
primary market is automotive and that's not a good thing!
I've been fortunate to have a bit more time on my hands for shop work and
always seem to have a project or two underway. Currently I'm building a
cherry side board, and of course, electrons have not been sacrificed (well,
I did buy the lumber S4S though). I've got a lot of problems: saws,
chisels, planes, anything resembling a Fray, anything looking like it can be
chucked into a Spofford chuck and did I say plumb bobs? Yea, especially
plumb bobs. My wife says we can decorate the tree this year with some of
them! In short, I like old things! One of these days, I'm going to have to
become a bit more organized in what I accumulate and where I put it, but
that's really no fun, now is it? What is better than rooting in your shop
and finding a treasure that you forgotten you had?
Enough for my halfway point to a decade being here Bio!
