Seriously:  I had a chat with Terry a coupla
years ago at a local show.  Mentioned
that I liked his ironwood jack but felt it
needed a little bit more mass.

He casually mentioned he'd just received a
batch of "green" gidgee and maybe when that
was dry it could be used for a jack.

To which I jumped - greedy little sod that I
am - and volunteered for Beta-testing it.

That's the one in the photo.  It finally dried
and Terry sent me one of the first ones.  I'm happy
to report that (so far) my theory about gidgee being
the ideal density and mass for this size of plane
was spot on.
