And here we are in April, with the promise of warmth, sunshine, and snow
showers early Thursday AM here...sigh.  But the summer flea season
starts this coming weekend and the weather so far looks good, so there
is some hope.  Got some great collectible and good user tools this time
around.

PayPal is preferred (if you use it) on all items. It's easier for me to

ship items off of a paid PayPal invoice, especially First Class ones.

Checks and money orders are still welcome.

And remember........da more ya buy, the cheaper they fly!

First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Prices do not include shipping.  All items are shipped with Delivery
Confirmation. Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile item
is optional. Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff via
First Class mail. There will be a small amount added to the shipping
cover the cost of the padded mailer. I don't get them for free.

Please put your name and address in the message. Saves time and email
traffic!

H Disston & Sons 10 Inch Back Saw or Backsaw.  Measuring 15 1/8"
overall, the blade is 10" long, 2 7/16" high at the toe (from the edge
to the start of the back), 2 1/2" high right in front of the tote, this
is sharpened to 15 PT (14 TPI) CC, and this weighs 13 1/4 oz unboxed.
This was made between 1896 and 1917.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned.  Overall the blade is good save for a few
light and small spots of pitting and some frosting.  The back has some
more patina going.  All the teeth are present and this is still fairly
sharp.  There is a very slight bow down the edge (like 1/32" at the
center).  The apple wood tote has some stains, dings, and a small chip
off of the front on the back side.  Both screws work.  This ain't minty,
but seeing as how it's, at the least, 107 years old, well it sure ain't
bad.  $45.00

Unusual Flat Jaw Hand Forged Blacksmith Tongs.  Measuring 10 5/16" long,
the jaws are 4 5/16" deep, 3/8" wide at the tips, and this weighs 6 1/2
oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned by someone else who also hit it with the shiny
stuff.  There is some roughness left over from when this was made, but
nothing too bad patina wise.  The jaws are good and have a very thin
groove down the center.  They close up tight and flush.  The joint is
good with no play.  This sure ain't for knocking out horseshoes, but for
doing small detail work, it will be just fine.  $20.00

Vintage Tinsmith Panel Or Paneling Hammer.  Measuring 11 1/4" overall,
the head is 4 1/4" long, the face is a little under 3/4" square, the
peen is 3/4" wide, and this weighs 10 1/2 oz unboxed. Not signed as to
the maker.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  There are some
spots of light pitting and some overall frosting on the head, along with
user initials on the one side.  The face has some tiny dings, but
nothing too bad.  The peen is good. The handle has a check under the eye
from the wedge and some stains, but it's solid.  This ain't perfect, but
it will get the job done. $18.00

Essex Mfg Co 5/8 Inch Bevel Side Paring Chisel.  Measuring 8 13/16" from
the edge to the end of the socket, the blade is 6 1/8" long, this is 12
9/16" overall, and this weighs 6 1/4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably
good condition and was cleaned.  The back is good save for some light
scuffs and a little frosting.  The top has some stained spots, but
nothing too bad.  The edge has some chipping and will need a touch up.
The socket is good.  The handle is a good replacement and is good other
than a little staining on the one side.  This ain't pristine, but it's a
solid tool that will get the job done.  $20.00

Vintage 6 Inch Wing Compass Or Divider.  Measuring 6 3/16" long and this
weighs 4 1/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker, other than the
Made In USA mark.  This is a probably a Wm Johnson.  This is in
reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There is some frosting and a
few small spots of light pitting.  The joint and tips are good.  The
locking screw and fine adjuster nut both work and were oiled.  This
ain't pristine, but it will get the job done. $17.00

Springfield Trapdoor Model 1879 Gun Tool.  Measuring 2 5/8" long and
this weighs 1 1/4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition, the
only cleaning was a wipe down with some penetrating oil to get rid of
some grease.  There is a little overall light patina and some oil
residue.  The joint is good and hold except for one small area. The
wrench, punch, and screwdriver tips are all good to go.  This ain't
minty, but it will get the job done.  $17.00

FIVE C Maier Carving Tools.  There is a 1/8" and a 1/4" skew chisel, a
3/32" V-gouge, a 5/16" and 7/16" fishtail gouge and they weigh 2 oz
unboxed.  C. Maier & Sons were a Newark NJ tool maker, they started in
the 1800's and were around until the 1920's, but not a lot is known
about the company.  These are in reasonably good condition and were
cleaned by someone else.  There ain't much in the way of patina to fuss
about.  A couple of the edges will need a little touch up.  These will
need handles, but that is easy enough to do.  Maier carving tools are
known for their quality and their smaller sizes make these ideal for
detail work.  $65.00

L & I J White 11/16 Inch Bench Gouge.  Measuring 5 7/8" from the edge to
the top of the handle, the blade is 4 3/8" long, 11/16" wide across the
inside of the sweep, 13/16" across the outside, this is 11 1/12"
overall, and this weighs 5 1/2 oz unboxed.  L. & I. J. White were
Buffalo NY toolmakers who were in business from 1837 until 1928.  This
is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. The inside of the sweep
is clean other than a light patch of pitting around the center.  The
back has some stained spots, but nothing too bad.  The edge is wicked
good.  The London pattern handle looks to be apple wood.  That has some
dings, stains, and a couple of small chips, but it's solid.  This ain't
pristine, but it's a quality tool that will get the job done.  $27.00

Winterbottom & Traut Patent 4 1/2 Inch Try & Mitre Square. This weighs 3
1/2 oz unboxed.  William S. Winterbottom of Philadelphia, PA was granted
Pat. No. 79,175 on June 23, 1868 for the original design of this tool.
He worked as a square maker in Philadelphia PA from 1869 until 1898 and
Justus A. Traut of New Britain, CT  was granted Pat. No. 125,858 on
April 16, 1872 for other improvements to this tool.  This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  The blade has some spots of pitting on both
sides. The rulings are readable for the most part and the edges and
corners are good.  The rosewood handle has a thin check on the back and
the usual dings and stains.  This ain't perfect, but seeing as how it's
130 plus years old, well it ain't all that bad.  Just saying. $30.00

Early Rosewood & Brass 2 ft Folding Rule.  The body is 12 3/8" long and
this weighs 1 3/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker, but this
could be 18th or early 19th Century as to the age.  This is in good
condition and was cleaned at some point, but not by me.  The body has
some light stains and is missing a few of the tiny brass pins, but
nearly all of them are present.  There are also hand stamped numerals as
well.  NOW, an inch on this guy is actually 15/16", but that has varied
a lot over the years.  There is a very slight outward bow to both
sections looking from the slot.  The brass rule is good save for some
wear to the corners.  The joint is fairly good, but does get a little
loose with the brass straight out.  I gotta say that rules like this are
few and very far between.  $160.00

Stanley No 40 Everlasting 3/8 Inch Chisel.  Measuring 5 5/16" from the
edge to the top of the handle, the blade is 3 7/8" long, this is 8 3/4"
overall, and this weighs 5 1/2 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned.  The back has some frosting, but nothing too
bad patina wise.  The tops and sides also have some frosting and
staining.  The edge will need some work.  The handle has some dings and
a few tiny bits of paint.  The striking button has some tiny dings, but
was spared the sledge hammer treatment.  This ain't minty, but it's a
solid tool that will get the job done.  $24.00

Maples & Sons Cast Steel No 5 11/16" Carving Tool Gouge. Measuring 5"
from the edge to the top of where the handle would start, the blade is
11/16" wide across the sweep, the sweep looks to be a No. 5, this is 7
1/4" overall, and this weighs 2 oz unboxed. This is in fair condition
and was cleaned.  Somebody else had polished the sweep a little at the
edge, but after that there is some overall light pitting on the inside.
The back is fairly clean for the most part.  The tang is good.  This
will need a handle. This ain't perfect, but with a little work, it will
get the job done.  $14.00

Early Hand Forged PA Dutch Style Felling Axe Head.  Measuring 5 7/8"
long (across the center), the edge is 4" high (straight across), the
steel bit is 7/16" deep at the center, and this weighs 3 lbs 8 oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in decent condition and
was cleaned and it wasn't the first time.  There is the usual patina.
The steel bit is clean save for a few dings and is fairly sharp.
Somebody else dressed the top and the poll, but they did a fairly good
job.  There are some dings on the top of the eye and the poll, and some
mushrooming on the inside of the eye there.  Note the decorative lines
on the underside of the eye.  The forge weld line for the eye is opened
a little at the front.  This ain't pristine, but these guys are sure
getting few and far between of late.  $55.00

Vintage Cobblers Hammer.  Measuring 7 3/4" overall, the head is 3 5/8"
long, the face is 1 5/16" in diameter, the peen is 1 3/8" wide, and this
weighs 14 3/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker. This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall roughness on the head
left over from when this was made.  The black finish is original and
most of that is present.  The face has some tiny dings, but nothing too
bad.  The peen is good.  The handle was user crafted and was hand carved
from a piece of oak.  That has some checks at the end and some long gone
worm holes, but it's solid enough to use.  This ain't pristine, but it
will get the job done. $17.00

diameter, and this weighs 4 3/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the
maker.  This is in reasonably good condition and was not cleaned. There
are a few dots and small spots of patina, but this has almost all of the
original finish.  The pictures tell the rest of the story.  This is what
it is, but to my eye it is kinda neat.  $14.00

staining on both sides, but nothing much in the way of wear. There are
some tiny dings on the sides.  This ain't minty, but it is a quality
stone that will get the job done.  $14.00

Millers Falls No 3 Rogers Patent Timberframer T-Auger Handle. Measuring
16" long and this weighs 1 lb 4 1/4 oz unboxed.  George E. Rogers of
Greenfield, MA was granted Pat. No. 484,050 on Oct. 11, 1892 for the
design of this tool.  This isn't signed, but few of these were.  This is
in reasonably good condition and was cleaned and the head refinished.
The jaws are good.  The nut works and the threads were oiled.  The oak
handles have some stains and dings, a few of them deep, but they are
solid and on tight.  This ain't pristine, but it's a solid tool that
will get the job done.  $45.00

Pexto Sampson-D No 8012D 12 Inch Sweep Brace.  This weighs 3 lbs 5 1/4
oz unboxed.  Henry V. Smith of Hartford, CT was granted Pat. No. 542,448
on July 9, 1895 for the original design of the chuck used on this tool.
This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  The plating on the arms
and chuck is pretty much gone and there is some overall light frosting,
but nothing too bad patina wise.  The Sampson chuck, which takes both
round shaft and square tang bits is good.  The ratchet works in both
directions and the locked position.  The grip and pad look to be
rosewood.  They both have some dings, but spin freely.  This ain't
pristine, but it's a solid and heavy duty tool that will get the job
done.  $45.00

oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was not cleaned.
There is some staining and a few spots of light patina on the frame, but
nothing too bad.  The chuck and jaws are good, but this model never had
a spring on the jaws.  The ratchet works in both directions and the
locked position.  The wood grip and pad have almost all of the original
finish.  There are a few dings and bits of paint, but both spin freely.

Early Hand Forged Slater Slate Roofing Hammer.  Measuring 13 1/8"
overall, the head is 7 9/16" long, the face is 5/8" in diameter, and
this weighs 1 lb 6 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in
decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall roughness left
over from when this was made along with some bits of pitting and some
user added score lines.  The face has some dings, a couple of tiny chips
around the edge, and the start of some mushrooming.  The punch tip was
dressed recently and will need some fine tuning.  This guy never had
nail claws.  The breaking edge on the shaft is good.  The wood handle
does have a couple of checks, but it's on tight.  The nut at the end
does turn.  This ain't minty, but it does have some history to it to say
the least.  $32.00

Vintage Cast Steel 7 Inch Draw Knife Or Drawknife.  Measuring 12 3/4"
overall, the blade is 7" long, 3/4" wide at the center, 1" at the ends,
and this weighs 13 oz unboxed.  This was signed, but the name is pretty
much lost to history.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  The
steel on the back has some frosting, but nothing too bad.  The iron
frame has some overall frosting and light pitting.  The top is dinged up
and I did run a file over some mushrooming on the front.  The edge will
need some work.  The handles are black walnut.  The right one has a deep
check on both sides that I put some glue down into.  That was on tight,
but this will help.  Both of them have some dings, stains, and wear.
The ferrules and end caps also have some patina.  This ain't pretty or
perfect, but for small work, it will get the job done.  $27.00

spots of pitting on the body  and jaw.  The main screw works, that
travels the full distance and holds.  The jaw also travels the full
distance, but the screw holding the jaw to the body, does not turn.

in good condition and was cleaned.  There are some light dings on the
head.  The face and peen have some staining, but nothing too bad patina
wise.  The magnetic peen still has lots of stick to it.  The handle is
original to the tool.  That has almost all of the original finish plus a
coat of wax.  The head wiggles a hair, but does no come off.  This ain't

pitting, but overall nothing too bad.  The sides and top also have some
light patina.  The edge is ready to work.  The oak handle has some dings

condition and was cleaned.  There is some wear to the finish and bit of
patina, but overall nothing too bad.  The jaws are good save for a wee
bit of chipping on the top.  The cross hatching on the faces is also
good and they close up tight and flush.  The screw is good and the nut

Vintage Sargent 6 Inch Side Cutter Pliers.  Measuring 6 9/16" long and
this weighs 8 1/2 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and
was not cleaned.  There is a little plating loss around the jaws, but
most of it is present.  The jaws and the cross hatching are good.  The
joint moves smoothly with no play.  The handles are also good.  This
ain't perfect, but it will get the job done.  $17.00

Utica No 1050 8 Inch Linesman Pliers.  Measuring 8 1/8" long and this
weighs 12 3/4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was

bad.  The jaws are good as is the cross hatching on the faces.  The
cutter edges are also good with no dings or nicks.  The joint is good
with no play.  This ain't minty, but it is a quality tool that will get
the job done.  $17.00

Stanley No 720 3/4 Inch Bench Paring Chisel.  Measuring 8 1/8" from the
edge to the end of the socket, the blade is 5 9/16" long, and this
weighs 5 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was
cleaned.  The back has some frosting and light scuffs, but nothing too
bad.  The top has a few small spots of very light pitting along with
some frosting.  The socket is good.  This will need a handle, I don't
have any here that fit.  This ain't perfect, but it sure ain't bad
either.  $25.00

Stanley Yankee No 130A Push Screwdriver & 5 Bits.  There is the tool, 3
straight bits, 2 Phillips bits, and this all weighs 1 lb 1 3/4 oz
unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition, the only cleaning was to
pretty up the bits a little and to wipedown the handle to get rid of
some gunk.  The plating is good.  The chuck works.  The ratchet also
works in both directions and the locked position.  The handle does have
some dings to the finish, but most of it is present.  The bits all have
a little light patina, but the tips are good to go.  This ain't
pristine, but it will get the job done.  $32.00

Hand Forged Blacksmith Straight Peen Head.  Measuring 4 7/8" long, the
face is 1 1/4" square, the peen is 1 3/8" high, about 1/4" wide, and
this weighs 1 lb 12 1/2 oz unboxed.  This has a mark, looks like 113,
but I can't say for sure,  I'm thinking that this was a hot cut chisel
head originally, but the last guy or 3 were using this has a hammer.
This is in fair condition and was cleaned.  There there is some overall
pitting and patina.  The face has some dings, wear, and mushrooming.
The peen has some chipping on the sides and at the one end.  The punched
eye also has some chipping on the one side and a little crusty on the
inside.  This ain't pretty or perfect, but it will get the job done.  $18.00

TWO Vintage E-Z Mark Door Butt Gauges.  There is a 3 1/2", a 4", and
they weigh 12 1/2 oz unboxed.  The one is marked Pat Pend, the other has
a patent number, but I can't find that anywhere.  These are in decent
condition and were not cleaned.  Both of them have some wear to the
finish and some light patina, but nothing too bad.  All of the edges are
fairly good.  These ain't minty, but they are a lot less common than the
Stanley ones, at least in my travels.  $18.00

Greenlee No 900 24 Inch Brace Auger Bit Extension.  Measuring 24" long
and this weighs 1 lb 4 3/4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned.  There are few light spots of patina on the
chuck area, but nothing too bad.  The shaft has some staining and some
light pitting down by the shaft.  The chuck works and was oiled (I put a
bit in it).  This ain't minty, but it will allow you to stick yer bit
deeper than you ever could have imagined.  Just saying.  $19.00

Precision-Bilt 3/4 Inch Bevel Side Paring Chisel.  Measuring 6 13/16"
from the edge to the end of the socket, the blade is 4 5/16" long, this
is 10 5/16" overall, and this weighs 5 1/4 oz unboxed. Precision-Bilt
was a brand name used by Spiegel Inc. on their line of wood working
tools.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  The back
is good save for some light scuffs.  There are some dings on the sides.
The edge will need some work.  The top has some frosting and staining.
The socket does have some deep dings or what have you on the sides.  The
handle looks to be original.  That has some stains and wear to the end
leather washer, but it's solid. I did not have it off of the tool.  This
ain't pristine, but I sure ain't seen too many of these guys around.  $17.00

Millers Falls No 4 T-Auger Handle.  Measuring 15 1/8" long and this
weighs 2 lbs 13 1/4 oz unboxed.  This isn't signed, but few of these
were.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  The finish on the
chuck and head area is worn.  The chuck and jaws are good and the
ratchet works in both directions and the locked position.  The fixed
handle has a poorly done hanging hole.  The spinning section on the
removable handle doesn't turn and was probably glued on at some point.
The handle does remove and works in both holes.  This guy ain't pretty
or perfect, but it will get the job done.  $45.00

good condition and was cleaned.  There are a few small spots of light

that this is sure not a very common tool, at least in my travels.  $16.00

Upson Nut Co No 69 1 Ft Folding Rule.  This weighs 1/2 oz unboxed. The
Upson Nut Co. was a Unionville CT toolmaker in business from 1854 until
1911.  This is in fair condition and was cleaned.  The outer segments
have some staining and the inside ones also have some spots.  The finish
is pretty much gone.  The insides have some scratch marks from the
pins.  The rulings are readable for the most part.  The joints are good
and the side pin is present.  This ain't minty, by any stretch, but
these smaller rules are sure getting few and far between.  $14.00

11/16" long, 1 15/16" wide, 2 7/16" high, and this weighs 3 lbs 1/4  oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was not cleaned.  There is some overall staining, but
nothing too bad patina wise.  The edges are crispy good.  The side
screws for the clamp work as does the top hold down screw.  This ain't
got the fancy maker's mark, but it's a solid tool that will get the job
done.  $19.00
