268944 Anthony Seo 2019‑07‑22 FS: The Jungle Of July List B
Well the title of this month's lists was right on the mark, what with
the heat and humidity.  It's been pretty brutal just hitting the fleas
much less working in this stuff.  But I keep on, keeping on, as the old
saying goes.  This is just a quick list  of fresh arrivals , but I still
have lots from the previous lists so don't be shy.

PayPal is now accepted and preferred (if you use it) on all items.
It's easier for me to ship items through there, especially First Class
ones.   Checks and money orders are still welcome.

And remember........da more ya buy, the cheaper they fly!

First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Oldtools terms, except on items and orders over $100, if I don't know ya
or haven't done business in the past (and my records good way back..)
then it's pre-pay.  Prices do not include shipping.  All items are
shipped with Delivery Confirmation. Insurance, unless it is a big order
or a very fragile item is optional. Just let me know. Also, I am
shipping a lot more stuff via First Class mail. There will be a small
amount added to the shipping cover the cost of the padded mailer. I
don't get them for free.

Please put your name and address in the message. Saves time and email
traffic!

weighs 1 lb 6 1/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker, there are
some user initials stamped on the head and handle.  This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is some patina on the body.  The head
looks like it was dressed at some point and there is light scuff on the
inside of the groove.  The striking end also had some mushrooming
removed but that is good otherwise. This ain't pretty or perfect but
considering the age of the tool, well it sure ain't bad.  $22.00

little pitting on the backs up by the edges but they are good for the
most part.  The edges are good. The socket has some dings and pitting.
The handle is a replacement.  That ain't perfect but it's solid.  I did
not have that off of the tool.  This ain't the prettiest but the
Witherby reputation for quality tools has stood the test of time.  $40.00

was cleaned.  There is the usual patina found on these guys.  I did
dress the edge a little and that is good to go, well unless you want to
shave yer hoo-haw with this. I also cleaned a little mushrooming off of
the end of the shaft and that is good to go.  This ain't the fanciest
but it will get the job done.  $17.00

5 1/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker, there is a 6 stamped on
the one side of the blade.  This is in decent condition and was
cleaned.  There is some overall light patina. The edge is good and was
sharpened recently.  Somebody else cleaned some mushrooming off of the
poll and did they got a little aggressive on the back.  The eye has some
dings on the inside edge at the top but it's good with no cracks.  This
ain't pristine but considering the age of the tool, it ain't too bad.

will get the job done.  $18.00

Vintage No 61 2 Ft Carpenters Folding Rule.  This weighs 1 3/4 oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker, but based on the parallel
horizontal rulings this is either a Stephens or a Chapin-Stephens
product.  This is in reasonably good condition and was lightly cleaned.
The outside has most of the original finish and there are some spots of
some kind of residue there.  There is some staining on the one side
where the hinge arms go through the wood.  The inside finish is also
original and good.  The brass has some light patina.  The joints are
good and all three locator pins are present.  This ain't minty perfect
but considering the age, well it sure ain't bad.  $17.00

peen is 3/8" wide, and this weighs 2 1/2 oz unboxed.  Marked as show and
was made in France.  This is in reasonably good condition and was
cleaned.  There are some dings and staining on the head but nothing too
bad.  The face has some very light dings and I did run a file over a
little mushrooming around the edge.  The peen is good and I also took a
little mushrooming off the underside.  The handle is old but I can't say
if it's the original one.  That has the usual stains and dings but it's
solid and the head is on tight.  This ain't perfect but it is a quality
tool.  $22.00

some dings on the end but nothing worth kicking the cat over.  I have
sold a bunch of these over the years but this is the first one by this

unboxed.  This is ruled in 16ths and 32nds on the front, and 16ths and

someone else.  The rule has some areas of light pitting but all the
rulings are readable and the edges and corners are good.  The head was
also refinished.  The machined surfaces are good as is the level vial
and these even has the scribe.  The locking screw does it's job.  This
ain't the prettiest but it will get the job done.  $22.00

condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall pitting and patina.
The face has some light pitting and wear to the one side of the groove.
The striking end has some mushrooming and I did zing down some sharp
spots.  The punched eye is good other than a little crusty.  This ain't
pristine but it will ge the job done.  $23.00

long, the face is 5/8" in diameter, the peen is 9/16" in diameter, and
this weighs 6 oz total unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker, this is
just marked as shown.  This is in reasonably condition and was lightly
cleaned.  There ain't nothing at all to fuss about with the head, save
for a few very tiny dings on the peen.  The handle is good other than a
few dings.  The head wiggles a little but it ain't gonna come off.  This
is a neat small hammer to say the least.  $17.00

screws all work and the frame moves freely.  The blade is an NOS
replacement from my stash here.  The handle is good other than a few
dings to the finish.  This ain't minty but it sure ain't bad and it will
get the job done.  $17.00
