...but this topic --and this fine May morning-- seems like a perfect time
to drop in a (totally unsolicited) plug for Leonard Lee's[*] magnificent
"The Complete Guide to Sharpening"[**].
I know many [most?] folks on this list is familiar with this book.
but this really is the bible for such things and it can't hurt to bring
it up once again. Completely galoot-friendly in its approach,
and exhaustive in its approach.
It even has detailed instructions for sharpening/fettling tweezers,
for pete's sake!
