GG's,
Well this has to be the longest time between posts in Galoot history. I
think it has been six years since my last post.. Hey ya get busy.
I have to say, one of the best parts of being in this group was when I made
lots of Galoot visits way back in the past. I hosted the first Toronto area
Galootpalooza way back in the 90's. It was fantastic!! I also visited
Seattle and was privileged to meet Steve Lamantia, and a couple of other
Galoots. It's been awhile so just who all was there has faded a bit. I
think Michael and Ken if my old brain still works. It was a great day and
we had a good time.
Folks here are a nice bunch. It has been too long since I lurked and
occasionally posted. Hopefully I will get more into the spirit again. I
live on the Canadian Prairies now where there are few wood workers compared
to the big centres and fewer tools to gloat over. But I suggest, folks make
arrangements and meet up. It is an amazing thing to be among other like
minded folks that pursue such a simple thing as working wood.
That being said, is anyone going to Handworks in Amana this year. I plan to
make the 14 hour drive and expect it to be a great time.
Regards,
Brent Parkin
