Galoots Assembled, Is Ralph Brendler's Stanley gage page available anywhere? Thank you, John "P.S. If you do not receive this, of course it must have been miscarried; therefore I beg you to write and let me know." - Sir Boyle Roche, M.P. |

John Johnston asked: > Is Ralph Brendler's Stanley gage page available anywhere? Yes. George Langford very helpfully posted a lot of links to historical pages including that one: http://www.georgesbasement.com/links/GalootLinksUpdated.htm I have it bookmarked. Thanks Adam ... for providing this. I, for one, really appreciate the fact that you took the time to make this available for download. I wanted to make sure that someone thanked you! It is a real shame when the online works (that someone put a lot of effort into) get lost for whatever reason, so keeping these kinds of archives alive is important (even if there are a few holes in them). It's too bad that we can't just put these in a library of our very own- Oh Wait...why can't we do that? Is it time for a kind of an internet based MWTCA,( except not just MidWest, and not really collectors, ahem, users)? Who maintains Galoot Central? Who pays for the hosting and server maintenance? Cheers Claudio |

I don't know if this remains the case, but perhaps this would be a worthwhile site to start with, subject to Jeff supporting the idea. It would be easier to archive the information now, rather than attempt to recover it later, and a fine recognition of Jeff's place in the history of The Porch. Unfortunately I have neither the skills, nor the server to do this, but I do have Adam's email address if anyone is interested in pursuing this further. Regards, Tony B Hobart, Tasmania |

There are also a couple more and after expending a great deal of effort resurrecting Brendler's site I am having difficulty finding my copy. If there are site you'd recommend to save for posterity let me know and I'll try, my software config makes this generally a simple task.
