Bernard Bomborn was the assignee of a couple of patents in Germany,  with
US patents assigned in 1909-10 and 1922 time frames.  Could be he owned the
machine shop.

But the German word for plane is Hobel, and I found a hit with Hobel near
Bomborn at several locations.  Just having trouble selecting text on the
iPad, so not getting the full meaning right.

Hopefully a push the right direction, Germany.
