Galoots,
I used to carry a knife all the time when I was younger.
Got my first knife from Grandpa when I was 7, carried that
until I lost it, and carried a succession of twin blade folders
through to the end of high school, and then began to leave
the knives at home more and more often. Fast forward 25
years and I became a Scout leader, and started carrying a
knife again. The one I drag around all the time now is a
small single blade Zippo locking blade knife I picked up
at a garage sale for a dollar. It was in a box with several
very badly mangled $3 victorinox knives, but the Zippo
was in excellent shape, and had the smaller price tag!
In my drawer I have "a few" pocket knives, ranging from
a big old Schrade to a pile of those "losable knives" from
Lee Valley. Maybe carrying them is a deadly sin in the
eyes of the law here, but lets just hope they never try to
outlaw ownership of sharp stuff or we're all doomed.
