Years ago, I went to an auction in Dushore, Pennsylvania,
it was the storerooms and outbuildings of a long defunct Victorian store.
They had an unused Victorian walnut coffin, untouched for over 100
years! It had white lace up where the head would go and
all the old hardware. As I recall it sold for $225.00, I was often
sorry I didn't bid on it. It would have cleaned up nicely.
