While visiting one of my woodworking buddies this morning, he brought out a
number of edge tools that need to be re-handled. A sledgehammer, 2 splitting
mauls, a double bitted axe head and couple hammers. I do a lot of that kind of
work, and enjoy it. But, he also gave me a fiberglass handle that he wants me
to put on one of the splitting mauls. I’ve never done fiberglass handles, and
don’t have a clue.

My initial idea was to cut a kerf down the center, then treat it just like a
wood handle, but have decided to err on the side of caution and submit it to the
wisdom of the group.
Any help greatly appreciated
