I'll just repeat my advice to tighten the HANDLE
with a clamp or two, and then run up the nut.

Do *NOT* use an old split nut to perform
the tightening of the handle. As has been
mentioned in the thread already, the threads
are small (and not very well cut) and the brass soft.
