Don,

Welcome to the list from another S. E. Michigan
woodworking wannabee. There are several of us on the
list. If you have any questions that need hands on
tutoring let me know. Also if you'd like to look at
some old tools, I could accomodate that, too (wink,
wink, shove).

Not sure what local group you've been invited to, but
the Southeast Michigan Woodwrkers is a very welcoming
group that meets once a month around Ypsi, and there
is a handtools offshoot of the group that meets the
first Thursday of the month. We happen to be making
spokeshaves at my shop tonight as a matter of fact.
It's short notice, but you would be more than welcome.

Again, welcome to the Oldtools list, it is hard to
find a more friendly, knowledgible, or accomodating
group anywhere.

Jim Crammond in Monroe, MI.
