134803 "David Gardner" <david_gardner@c...> 2004‑07‑01 Bio - Do I need to post an update?
Greetings all!

Some of you may remember the name, but since I had dropped off the list
from lurking mode about 7+ years ago (birth of my first GIT and job
change cut down drastically on my spare time), you'd have to have a good
memory. My old bio is posted, but in the time that has past, things
have changed a bit.

I've moved out of old tool heaven, acquired a garage to store tools in
rather than a basement, and am in the midst of a career change. Most of
my tool acquisitions of late have been from L-N, haven't gotten around
to scouting out the flea markets in the Knoxville, TN area yet.

I made the fateful mistake of lining up my planes for a maintenance
session, but beyond the expected response from SWMBO my 7 year old son
took an interest in them. I think if I actually get the garage in shop
shape, I could probably get him hooked. His first grade class was
having a lesson on heirlooms, which gave me a great opportunity to pull
out a couple of planes that had been passed on to me from my
grandfather. He thought they were cool! (warms a father's heart)

So, since I have a bit more time on my hands, I thought I would see what
is happening on the porch. So, what has been going on in the past few
years?

Well let's see. The O'Deen disappeared for a while, but is sort of back
and lurking. Sir Thomas of Bruce, has started to make a reappearance after
a bit of an absence as well. Lot of the early folks are gone or in
hiding. (The old NJ gang is pretty much defunct).

Oh yeah..Karl Sanger moved to Florida.....which STILL isn't far enough away!
