Marvin,
I use reamers, peg box, from Dick with this coating. I think it is a good
thing. I use em hard and they seem to last longer in maple than the
uncoated. I use both.  I also use hand made rasps from China, at the
moment, and I find the hand made ones dull quickly in ebony. But the
machine made rasps seem to have a mind of their own and pull off to one
side just when least expected and convenient.
