GG, As some of you know I have a 10th century laid stone farmhouse built by Pennsylvania immigrants to the wilds of SW Missouri. The interior is simple and beautiful wood work. My thought is its style is a mix of early arts and crafts, with maybe a little bit of federal style---well tempered by German and Dutch influences. Anyhow, I am seeking a book on stone farmhouses, or those elements of Pennsylvania style that are so much removed from my locale. Does anyone have any suggestions? again sorry if this is a bit off topic. If it helps the entire house was built with hand tools. Champ Herren |
