The Alaska Endurance Trail Run is a timed race, so you complete as many of the long loops shown on the map below as you can within the time period of your race (6, 12, or 24 hours). You can run the loop in either direction; the map shows the more popular counter-clockwise direction.

There is a shorter half mile loop shown below that you can run with less than two hours left in your race if you do not think you can compete a full loop.

Long Loop


The low spots on the course are just before Ballaine Lake, and near the side trail to Smith Lake. The high point is near the intersection of Miller Hill and Yankovich roads in the upper left corner of the map.
