Long ago but not very far away I worked in a plywood mill, pulling 8'-long
pieces of veneer off of a conveyor belt as they came out of the dryer. Mostly we
ran Douglas Fir, but occasionally we would run Western Hemlock. What I remember
about hemlock is that hemlock slivers fester something awful.
