277362 Tony Seo 2023‑05‑19 Jacktown Blue Mountain Spring 2023 Flea Market Day 1
Today was the unofficial opening of the Jacktown Blue Mountain Spring
2023 Flea Market.  The weather was cool to start, but slowly warmed up.
There weren't many set up, but it does pay, at least for me, to do some
early picking.

The view on the drive over there was spectacular.

Some of the set ups.

Some clouds and some sun.

On the hunt....

Pickings were slow, but steady.  I got a broad axe, the handle is shot,
an unusual cast iron base with a steel concave face, purpose unknown, a
3 lb plus Stanley cross peen hammer, a big hand forged square face
sledge hammer, a Stanley SW claw hammer in fairly good shape, a hand
forged outside caliper, a blacksmith bolt header, a gasket circle cutter
for a brace, a 6" Starrett rule in 100ths, a Starrett tool makers
square, a 4" Starrett combination square, and 3 small Starrett rules.

The "catch of the day" is this Goodell-Pratt drill press, that looks to
be in reasonably good shape, the head and depth screw all work.  The
rest we shall see.

The weather forecast for tomorrow has improved so I'll be back and
hopefully with more goodies..

The catch of the day looks good. I have to say that I would have hated
to carry that all back to the car though!

Well after Kutztown and feeling THAT for more than a couple of days, I
decided that it was better to make multiple trips to the beast, rather
than beat myself up.

Fortunately, with people still coming in to set up, I was able to drive
in and pick up the drill, seeing as how it weighs 27 lbs or so (I did
put it on the scale).

Tony (who occasionally does things the smart way..)
