Hi Eric--- I'm betting it's more of a tinker's hammer than a body-man's hammer,
and of a design that pre-dates cars. I have a couple similar from my
grandfather's box that were well-worn when he died in the late 1950s. Good
hammer, though; when you need it, not much else will do.

At 8" overall length, its way biggger than any warrington hammer I'm familiar
with, but the paneend does have a taper.
But could it be a bodyman's hammer??
Wadda ya think?
