274537 Cal Meier <calmeier@s...> 2021‑09‑09 A thank your to all who responded. "NEW old topic Wall ceiling height in shop"
Wise generous galoots,
Did not know the appropriate way to send a thank you message when it has been a
while since my posting of this question. So, please excuse approach if it break
etiquette. Really appreciated and gained from all the guidance on what wall
height would be best for a wood working shop. I appreciated definite height
leanings, a number of "it depends", and a variety of wider ranging information
including foundation concepts. It has helped clarify my thoughts and leanings
toward 10 ft walls, but also given me topics to talk with my contractor about.

Again thank you.

I guess I will blame my tardiness in giving thanks to the preparations made for
Hurricane IDA. By the grace of God, IDA moved to the East and near totally
missed central Louisiana. But, I am reminded that September is the most active
hurricane month and the devastation of Southeast Louisiana and the entire path
of IDA shakes us all. Hurricane season does not official end until November
first, but with climate change ramping up all the tropical storms we are all a
bit more on edge. Yes, you all in the West are also in my prayers. Many
years ago I spent two seasons in fire control. There is nothing quite as
devastating as an intense crown or understory fire out of control.
