ed, vice or anvil? you wrote vice, but sounds like you're describing a hay
budden anvil (they're brooklyn's most famous anvil sons).
a 200 lb hay budden in good nick (good condition, paddy) would set you back
something on the order of $800-$1200 on the open market, if not a scoche
more, here in hahafornia. out east, where anvils are thick on the ground
(except around todd's home region) they may go easily for the lower end. i
paid $600 for my 196 lb. peter wright a few years back during the Great
Rise of the Anvil Prices.
