All,

Recently there was some discussion where folks were reporting seeing
replies to messages that had never appeared in their Inbox or Spam
Folder. Well this happened to me yesterday and I stumbled on a possible
solution.

At the bottom of each email are a series of links, the top one gives you
the opportunity to view or reply to a particular message online. Click
on this in any message.

There will be a menu bar on the left, click on the Subscription button
then on the Email Delivery History button in the top center of your
screen. If you scroll down it will give you a list of bounced messages
and your missing emails may be here.

The one I was looking for was bounced by my ISP because the sender had
attached a 21.1 MB video.

Ahh, cool, thanks for the directions. It’s nice that there is a way to see
what your isp is “filtering” for your supposed benefit.

Was this a different list? OldTools should be stripping off any attachments
so all you’re left with is blissfully plain text.

Cheers,

Chris

Chris,

Yes, another group, one of about a dozen that were transferred over
after Yahoo cut things off.
It is interesting to note that the oldtools group is the only one of my
subscriptions that had no bounced messages. A nice change of pace after
my ISP decided to banish your server.

Oldtools is the only one to block attachments and this posting of an
enormous and pointless 5 second video would tend to validate the policy.
The only thing worse is what this well meaning but clueless individual
did to his nice carriage clock.
