Thanks for that. The news sucks though. Brent's contributions to wood
craft cannot be overstated. His methodical and analytical approach to
sharpening, and his focus on inexpensive methods and hand-crafted jigs
has proven very helpful to me. He was a true Galoot. I recently built
chisel-honing jigs for myself and my S-I-L based upon his design, and
and am very happy with the results.

I have been using his method for honing plane irons with great success
for some years.
