As a somewhat tech Luddite, I recently discovered the Reddit forums, among which
is at least one that covers hand tools (r/handtools). There are a lot of very
basic user/collectors on that forum. I've posted a few times, mostly to let
folks know about this forum, as well as the existence of the Early American
Industries Association, Mid-West Tool Collectors Association and the Pacific
Northwest Tool Collectors. I don't think the Reddit forums compete with this
one, but I'd like to see more "new users" migrate here, where the knowledge base
about the tools and their uses seems to be much deeper.
