All, found a router plane base at a barn sale this weekend and am failing
to find info on it.  Base is a little wider than a Stanley 71 but otherwise
same general shape.  Closed throat and no markings other than a raised X on
one side of the casting and 1928 on the other.  Blade column is not drilled
or tapped like Stanley but is otherwise same general concept.  Handle
bosses are not drilled or threaded either.  Curious if this was just a raw
casting copied from something else that the craftsman never finished.
Thought the date stamping would make an easy search but not having any luck
today.  Pretty sure I've got a few loose blades and a collar around but not
sure what to do for handles just yet.  Guess I could just drill and tap the
bosses myself easily enough.  Oh, base appears to be cast iron.
