263055 Champ Herren <champherren3@g...> 2017‑08‑23 screwdriver ID help
GG,
Evenin all, I recently found this nifty old mechanics pattern screwdriver
with permaloid or tennite handles. $1. However it is a quality tool and is
very well machined. I wondered if anyone could identify the maker?

As always, thanks

Champ

That's odd. The link works fine on my end.

Same here. I get a 404 error trying to get to the image. I know nothing
about Flickr, but if it's like Dropbox you need to use a "public" link so
those without an account or authorization to visit your site can access a
file.

It's the first entry on the link you parsed down a bit.

Champ,

There's a lesson here for me regarding photo hosting. Am I correct in surmising
that Flickr makes it impossible to post a simple clickable link which doesn't
require special skills or registration use?

Sounds to me like Flickr is nearly useless for sharing photos!

I send Flickr all the time with no problem (at least no one has mentioned
anything). Just call up the picture you want, either in the main Photostream or
in an Album, copy the URL at the top, then past it onto the Oldtools message.

Flickr isn't very intuitive. You need to click on the little ' share '
symbol to get the share link to the image, but only after you have made the
image 'public'. If it is a "private image", you can share with specific
people (but only if they have an account I think? I'm not sure about that
and I'm on mobile now and it's a pain to look it up)

This takes me to a login page. Are you sure you made the images "public"?

Hi:
Just a possible puzzle piece: when I receive a Flickr sent directly to my e-mail
account, (from a Bay Area Galoot) it;s readable. When I try to click on the same
one from the archive, it;s not.My $.02 -Greg
