The red vertical lines running through the center of the plot show the sunrise and sunset times for that date. The blue line running across the plot shows the total day length. Note that when the sunset is after midnight on the day in question, it will be above the 24 hour line. A sudden jump of the sunrise and sunset bar is due to the resumption or termination of the idiotic daylight "savings" time.
