Greetings Galoots. My Bio

A bit about me.

Lets see, Got my start in woodworking in, of all things, Corian fabrication.
All that power tool usage got kind of old after 5 or 6 years (the only hand
tools you can use on Corian are files and sandpaper)so I took a series of
courses at Oregon School of Arts and Crafts, starting with Hand Tools. Liked
it too much. Started finding old rusty planes at yard sales and the like.
About five years later I opened my own custom furniture shop in Portland,OR in
a shared, small space. Things were going very well when my wife was
transferred to the Spokane, WA branch of her office. Since she made the real
money, my shop and all our belongings moved to Spokane. Plans of building a
shop on our new 10 acre homestead fell through, so I got a job with a local
cabinetmaker and 6 months later had to have back surgery. No more sheet stock
full time for this guy. Currently putzing around in the basement with all my
hand tools and enrolled back in school to get my teaching degree.
Collect....errr....I mean use Stanley bench planes, but I am interested in
Collect......errr. ... I mean using a variety of old rusty stuff.
