Second run of tools for the month of February. Since it's going to snow
here today (AGAIN!!) might as well have something to do. Sigh. Got a run
of fresh goods, lots of brace tools, hammers, machinist, and the usual
ends and odds.
PayPal is preferred (if you use it) on all items. It's easier for me to
ship items off of a paid PayPal invoice, especially First Class ones.
Checks and money orders are still welcome.
And remember........da more ya buy, the cheaper they fly!
First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Prices do not include shipping. All items are shipped with Delivery
Confirmation. Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile item
is optional. Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff via
First Class mail. There will be a small amount added to the shipping
cover the cost of the padded mailer. I don't get them for free.

The peen is good save for some very light patina. The eye is good to
go. This ain't pristine but it's an older tool that will get the job
done. $17.00

roughly 1 3/4" in diameter, and this weighs 6 lbs 13 1/2 oz unboxed.
Not signed as to the maker. This is in decent condition and was

have some light pitting and the one has a wee bit of mushrooming on the
one side but there are no cracks that I can see. The eye has a little
crusty and a few light dings around the edges but it's solid. This

Early Hand Forged Belt Axe. Measuring 11 5/8" overall, the head is 4
1/8" long (across the center), the edge is 3" high (straight across),
and this weighs 1 lb 4 1/2 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker.
This is in fair condition and was cleaned. There is lots of patina
going on this old guy. The bit was replaced at some point and that is
fairly good. The wrought iron body has some roughness. The poll is
cracked at the top and goes into the eye and was dressed down at some
point. The forge weld line at the front of the eye is open a bit. The
handle is old and could be the original one. HOWEVER somebody (not me!)
used some kind of glue to keep the handle in the eye. Sigh. What can
I say? This sure ain't anywhere close to minty but it is an old and
collectible tool. $24.00

frosting. The peen does have a chip on the one end and I did take down
a little sharpness but other than that, the peen is good. The handle is
a recent replacement. There are a couple of dings at the end but it's
solid. This ain't pristine but it will get the job done. $19.00

The lead screw threads are good but not really sharp. The working edge
also could stand a touch-up. The handle has some dings, stains, and a
couple thin checks around the mortise for the tang but it's solid and
the tang is in tight. This ain't pristine but tools of this age rarely
are. $14.00

out of the chuck with a 10 lb sledge hammer and it will be fine. This
ain't minty but it sure ain't bad and it will get the job done. $14.00

Vintage Merit 10 Inch Sweep Brace. This weighs 2 lbs 3 1/2 oz unboxed.
Merit was one of the brand names used by Sears during the 1930's and
40's. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The plating on the
arms is worn and in some spots gone. The chuck shell has a little funky
but it works just fine. The alligator style jaws are good. The ratchet
works in both directions and the locked position. The grip has some
wear to the finish. The pad looks like it was painted at some point and
there are few dots of other colors as well. Both spin freely. This
ain't got a fancy name but it will get the job done. $22.00

special blend on it, but there still is a little on there. The head has
some small holes around the rim, a couple in the center, and a small
chip on the rim. There are some score marks left over from when this
was made. There is a grain line where the head starts but it's not
cracked. This is a solid tool that will get the job done. $17.00

There is a little patina but nothing too bad. The chuck is good. The
handle has a few tiny dings to the finish and some small stains. The

overall, the blade is 11 1/2" long, 1 3/4" high at the toe, 3 5/16" high
right in front of the tote, this is sharpened to 10 PT (9 TPI) CC, and
this weighs 9 1/2 oz unboxed. This is in TO RESTORE condition. I
cleaned off some paint spray and run some steel wool over the etch to
bring it out a little. There is some overall light rust but it doesn't
look too deep. There is a slight bent on the edge at the toe. This
would need a sharpening. The beech tote has some paint and staining but
it's solid. The medallion is MIA. This is what it is, but these guys

user initials stamped on both sides at the end. The b lade also has some
frosting and there is a slight bend at the rounded end looking from the
side. The center screw removes and was oiled. The locking screw works
but does not remove completely. This ain't minty but these guys are sure

Vintage 8 Inch Sweep Iron Brace. Measuring 11 5/16" long, the sweep is
8", and this weighs 1 lb 5 1/2 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker.
This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some overall
light patina but I don't think that this guy was very pretty to start
with. The chuck and screw are good, somebody had painted that area with
red paint and there is little down inside. The pad was also painted red
and there is a little down in the hole. That has a little play and
light patina but it's solid and spins smoothly. This ain't fancy but it
is a neat older tool that will get the job done. $24.00

the underside of the peen. This is in reasonably good condition and was
cleaned. There is some overall light patina on the head. The face has
some light dings and frosting but nothing too bad. The peen also has
some frosting and there is some kind of raised figure there. The eye
has some dinging inside the top but it's solid. This ain't minty, but
drop it on a handle and it will get the job done. $17.00

soap and water. The one face is flat across the long way, but there is
a whisker of wear in the center looking from the ends. The other face
is flat in all directions. The edges are good but there are a couple of
tiny chips on the corners. The box is in fair condition. There is some
staining and wear, and the one corner of the lid is ripped. This ain't
pristine but it is an old stone that will get the job done. $17.00

across the opening on the jaws, and this weighs 9 oz unboxed. There is
a name stamped on the side, might be the maker or a user. This is in
decent condition and was cleaned. There is some overall patina, but I
doubt that this guy was real pretty to start with. The jaws and teeth
are good. The end of the handle has some pitting, this might have been
fitted to a wooden handle at some point. This ain't fancy but it is a
well made older tool. $17.00

There is some frosting and a few spots of light pitting on the tip and
shaft. The sides of the tip were dressed down at some point. The

RESTORE. Measuring 9 1/2" long, 15/16" wide across the sole, and this
weighs 1 lb 1/2 oz unboxed. This is in to restore condition and was
lightly cleaned. The body has some light scratches and there are some
bits of paint down in the grain. The brass sole was probably user added
but that is good and it is straight. The wedge has a crack on the one
side. That could be glued or at least used as a pattern for a new one.
This will need an iron. This is what it is but it is a neat plane that
with some work, will get the job done. $18.00
