I sent this a few days ago. I’ll still hacking at the drawers (well, really more
like trays), a few hours here or there. It’s been a couple of thousand mallet
blows. I tried a small engineers hammer (AKA Lump hammer), 13 oz. Japanese
hammer and quickly settled on my Ipe mallet as the best chisel driver. It weighs
almost as much as the lump hammer but seems a lot more forgiving to the
operator.
I have found the Maple tells you real fast if your chisel is not sharp enough:
It simply crumbles. But w/ a sharp chisel it gives a really clean line. Had to
stop and re-sharpen twice.

Good progress tho… All the tails cut. Now on to the pins.
