Yes and no. Some of the better early Sargents used the Shaw patent

However their lower cost planes did not use this. Mine for example has the two
screws, just like a Bailey, under the Iron.

The advantage of the Sargents is supposed to be that the frog adjusts parallel
with the sole so you don;t have to re-set the blade like you do when you change
the frog on a Bedrock. Although, like has been said, I rarely adjust frogs once
I get them where I like them.
