Another year is upon us.  The weather has been down and up and it's not
been helping with the effort but as always there is a good run of new
stuff here including some great collectibles.

PayPal is now accepted and preferred (if you use it) on all items. It's
easier for me to ship items through there, especially First Class
ones.   Checks and money orders are still welcome.

And remember........da more ya buy, the cheaper they fly!

First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Prices do not include shipping.  All items are shipped with Delivery
Confirmation. Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile item
is optional. Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff via
First Class mail. There will be a small amount added to the shipping
cover the cost of the padded mailer. I don't get them for free.

Please put your name and address in the message. Saves time and email
traffic!

RARE Hawes Patent 1913 Convertible Ratchet Wrench.  The handle is 8 1/8"
long (from the end to the top of the head, and this weighs 1 lb 9 3/4 oz
unboxed.  James C. Hawes of Brooklyn, NY was granted Pat. No. 1,050,131
on Jan. 14, 1913 for the design of this tool which was made by the
Convertible Ratchet Wrench Company of Allentown, PA. This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall frosting, some spots
of light pitting, and some dings on the head area.  The jaws have a
little mushrooming on the edges and some dings on the insides but are
fairly good.  The main screw travels the full distance and was oiled.
The head pivots using the top screw and there are dimples on the shaft
to hold it in position. The head on the position screw is bent a little
but that does it's job.  The ratchet works in both directions and the
locked position. The handle has some dings, stains, and a little wear,
but it's solid.  This sure ain't minty fresh but it is a tool that
rarely shows up.  US Priority Mail Shipping with insurance and signature
confirmation is included in the price on this item.  $275.00

Starrett No 133 15 Inch Engineers & Plumbers Level.  This all weighs 3
lbs 4 1/4  oz unboxed.  This is in used but reasonably good condition
and was cleaned.  The machined surfaces have some frosting, scuffs, and
a few dings.  The finish is original and about 98% plus a few tiny bits
of paint that didn't want to come off.  All three clear level vials are
good.  The locking screw for the adjustable vial works and the table is
readable.  The wooden box has some stains, wear, and a few slivers off
of the one edge and the lid, but it's solid.  This ain't pristine but it
sure ain't bad and the wood boxes don't show up very often.  $70.00

P Carter Hand Forged Millwrights Mill Pick Head.  Measuring 8 1/16"
long, the edges are 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" wide, 5/8" high at the eye, and
this weighs 1 lb 2 1/4 oz unboxed.  Pulaski Carter was a Scranton PA
based tool maker in business from the 1860's until at least the 1890's.
This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some overall light
patina.  Both of the edges are banged up a bit and would need a
dressing.  The punched eye is good.  These guys sure have been few and
far between of late, especially a signed one.  $23.00

Two Fulton Socket Firmer Chisels.  The 1/4" is 8 1/4" overall, the blade
is 5 7/8" long, the 1/2" is 8 1/16" overall, the blade is 5 13/16" long,
and they weigh 7 1/4 oz unboxed.  These are in decent condition and were
cleaned.  Both of them have some spots of light pitting on the backs but
they are clean for the most part.  They also have some light pitting on
the sides and tops.  The sockets also have some patina and they 1/2" has
a whisker of mushrooming on the outside.  They will need handles, I
don't have any here that will fit.  These ain't perfect but they will
get the job done. $24.00

Big Machinist V-Block Clamp.  The body is 3 5/8" high, 3 5/16" wide
across the outside of the tips, 2 3/16" across the inside, the tips are
3/8" high, 5/8" thick, and this weighs 7 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to
the maker.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  THe
body has a little shop patina but nothing too bad. The tips are good.
The screw travels the full distance and was oiled.  This is not a very
common size for one of these guys, at least in my travels.  I do not
have the V-block to go with it. $24.00

Two Vintage Buck Bros Brace Bits.  There is a screwdriver bit, measuring
5/16" across the tip, a countersink bit, 5/8" in diameter, and they
weigh 3 oz unboxed.  These are in reasonably good condition and were
cleaned.  Both have some staining and a little frosting but nothing too
bad.  The tip on the screwdriver was dressed at some point but it's good
to go.  The edge on the countersink could stand a quick touch up.  The
tangs have some dings and the screwdriver bit had a little mushrooming
removed.  These ain't minty fresh but they sure ain't bad.  $15.00

J Sowers 1 Inch Hand Forged Socket Mortising Chisel.  Measuring 9 7/8"
from the edge to the end of the socket, the blade is 5 5/8" long, the
steel bit is 2 3/8" long, and this weighs 1 lb 1 1/4 oz unboxed.  I
found a couple of J Sowers that were blacksmiths here in PA but which
one is hard to say.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  There
is some overall patina.  The steel bit has some spots of light pitting
and some dings but it's clean for the most part.  There are some dings
on the sides but nothing too bad.  The socket also has some dings and
pitting at the end but it was never struck.  This ain't pristine but it
is a solid working early tool. $19.00

Stanley No 60 3/4 Inch Bench Or Paring Chisel.  Measuring 4 3/16" from
the edge to the top of the handle, the blade is 2 3/4" long, this is 7
9/16" overall, and this weighs 5 3/4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably
good condition and was cleaned.  The back is clean other than some
scuffs up by the edge.  The top has a few frosted spots.  The edge will
need some work.  The handle has some dings and light wear.  The strike
button also has some dings but still has most of the plating.  This
ain't minty but it sure ain't bad either.  $18.00

Vintage Wood Handle Side Pour Lead Ladle.  Measuring 9 1/4" long and
this weighs 4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in
reasonably good condition.  The only cleaning was to take some funky off
of the handle.  The bowl is good other than a little lead residue on the
inside.  The spout is clear.  The handle has a scorch mark up by the
ferrule but it's good for the most part.  This ain't pristine but it
will get the job done.  $15.00

Vintage Stortz Phila Oyster Clam Shucking Knife.  Measuring 8 1/2"
overall, the head is 2 3/4" long, 1/2" wide, the handle is 3/4" square,
and this weighs 14 1/4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition
and was cleaned.  The head has some light pitting but that's an
occupational hazard with these guys.  The edge is good. The handle has
some scaling left over from when this was made and a little patina as
well.  There is a wee bit of mushrooming on the end.  This ain't minty
but it sure ain't bad and Stortz is a collectible maker of these tools.

5/8" wide, 9/16" high, the peen is 11/16"  wide, this weighs 6 3/4, the
lower one is 4 9/16" long, the face is 13/16" in diameter, the peen is
15/16" wide, and weighs 14 oz.  The upper one is a Stanley, the other
one isn't signed.  These are in decent condition and were cleaned.  The
body on the Stanley is fairly good other than some scuffs on the top of
the eye and some scratches on the underside.  The other one has some
overall light pitting.  The face on the Stanley has some wear, the other
one has some light pitting.  Both peens have a little roughness.  Both
eyes are good other than a little dinging at the tops.  These ain't
pretty or perfect but they will get the job done.  $15.00

Stanley No 20 8 Inch Cabinet Makers Try Square.  This weighs 6 3/4 oz
unboxed.  This is in decent condition and was not cleaned, at least by
me.  The blade has some spots of rust.  The original bluing is worn.
The edges and corners are good and all the rulings are readable.  The
handle has some dings on the edges and a little wear to the original
finish.  This is true according to my reference square.  This ain't
minty but it will get the job done.  $16.00

Small Hand Forged Claw Hammer.  Measuring 11" overall, the head is 3
3/4" long (straight across), the face is 11/16" wide, 9/16" high, the
claws are 1"  wide across the ends, and this weighs 7 oz unboxed.  Not
signed as to the maker.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.
The head has some light pitting and dings on the sides.  The face also
has some dings and wear and I did rule a file over some sharp bits of
mushrooming on the edges.  The claws are good.  THe handle is old but
probably not the original one.  That has some dings and stains but it's
solid.  I did tap in the wedge and the head is on tight sitting here.
This ain't perfect but these smaller ones rarely show up much better.

1/4" across the outside of the tips, 3/16" across the insides, and this
weighs 1 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in reasonably
good condition and was cleaned.  The head has some frosting, staining,
and a few spots of light pitting.  The edge feels good to the touch.
The rosewood handle has a repaired check under the ferrule and a few
light dings.  The head won't be coming out anytime soon either.  This
ain't pristine but I sure don't sell too many of these guys around with
this kind of handle.  Just saying.  $18.00

sweep is 8". the jaws are 11/16" across when closed, and this weighs 1
lb 15 1/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is some frosting and light patina
overall.  The jaws have a little wear on the tips.  There is some funky
inside the chuck.  The chuck looks like it should rotate but I can't get
it to move.  The grip and pad are painted hardwood. They have some wear
to the finish and a few dings but both are solid and spin freely.  This
ain't the fanciest but it is neat older tool.  $24.00

dings and overall light pitting on the head.  The face has some small
chips around the edge and some frosting and dings.  The peen also has
some dings.  The square punched eye is good to go. This ain't pretty or

high, and this weighs 7 1/2 oz unboxed.  There is 22 stamped on the
base, might be a year or a production run number.  This is in decent
condition and was lightly cleaned.  Just light brushing and wash to get
rid of some crusty.  This is some kind of diecast metal.  The original
gold paint is worn but some of it is present. There is some overall
patina going on and it is missing a little bit of the horn.  This ain't
minty but these guys rarely are.  $40.00

Three Vintage Wood Handle Leather Tools.  Top to bottom, there is a No.
6 edge beveler measuring 5/16" across the outside of the head, 1/8"
across the inside of the groove, a No. 11 and a No. 18 stitch marking
wheel, and they weigh 3 1/2 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.
These are in decent condition and were cleaned.  The head of the edge
beveler has some staining near the front of the back and a pitted spot
farther down, and a little pitting on the sides on the top but nothing
that will interfere with this being used.  Both of the wheels are good
and leave a strong mark.  There is a little pitting on the sides and
shafts.  The handles are japanned hardwood.  They have some wear and
dings and the grain on the No. 11 is a little rougher.  They are solid
and the heads are in tight.  These ain't pretty or perfect but they will
the job done. $50.00

lower one is 5 3/16" long, and they weigh 1 3/4 oz unboxed. Not signed
as to the maker. These are in decent condition and were cleaned. The
handle on the upper one is good other than some stains and the chuck
works.  The handle on the lower one has some wear around the center but
it's solid.  The tips both have a little light pitting.  They will need
a sharpening.  These ain't minty but they sure ain't getting any easier
to come by.  $18.00

Wade & Butcher 3/4 Inch Straight Razor.  The blade is 3/4" wide and this
weighs 1 3/4 oz unboxed.  This is in good condition and was not cleaned,
at least by me.  The blade is clean save for one small spot on the front
and some light scuffs.  The edge is good and sharp.  There is a little
light patina on the handle.  The horn handle scales have some wear and
there is a user name lightly marked on the front but they are solid.

Hand Forged Name Stamp.  Measuring 3 15/16" long, the figures are 1/4"
high, and this weighs 9 1/4 oz unboxed.  The mark is J. Lundy. Not
signed as to the maker, there is a different name stamped in a couple of
places on the handle, my guess is that this was original a stone mason's
tool.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some
overall patina.  The figure was struck a little uneven and has some wear
but there still is plenty left.  The striking end had some mushrooming
removed at some point before this got here and that is good to go.  This
is what it is, but it is a collectible old tool.  $18.00

Blacksmith Hand Forged Slag Chipping Hammer Head.  Measuring 6" long, 1
1/16" across the straight edge, and this weighs 11 oz unboxed.  Not
signed as to the maker.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.
There is the usual patina found on these tools.  I dressed the pointy
end a little but that could stand a little more work.  The straight edge
has a small chip off of the one end and could also stand a little
dressing.  There is some chipping around the top of the eye but there
still is plenty there to put on a handle.  This ain't pretty or perfect
but it will get the job done. $15.00

This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some light
pitting on the frame.  The chuck is good with no cracks that I can see
and The screw is original and good.  The grip area also has some
pitting.  The pad has a check on the inside but the back is good other
than some dings.  The pad spins freely and does have a little play to
it.  This ain't the fanciest but it does have some age to it.  $22.00

AMT Chip Carving Knife.  Measuring 2 1/2" from the tip to the top of the
handle, 8 1/8" overall,  the blade is a little over 3/8" wide, and this
weighs 2 oz unboxed.  AMT sold several different grades of chip knifes
and this one of the better ones.  This is in reasonably condition and
was not cleaned.  The blade is pristine and sharp. The handle has a
little chipping on the one one edge and there are a couple of checks to

(that's New and very Old Stock) and was not cleaned. The tool has some
oil or grease on it from the factory but it's new under that.  The box
has a little character.  This is the tool to have for cleaning out
mushrooming on the insides of chisel sockets. I use them all the time

Knapp & Cowles 8 Inch Turnscrew Or Screwdriver.  Measuring 8 1/2" long,
the tip is 1/4" wide, and this weighs 2 3/4 oz unboxed. The Knapp &
Cowles Mfg. Co. was a  Bridgeport CT maker of ice tools and turncrews
around 1890.  The mark is faint at the one end but I figured it out.
This is in decent condition and was cleaned. THe blade has some light
pitting on both sides.  The tip is slightly rounded but good.  The
handle has a check under the ferrule and some stains and dings but it's
solid and the blade is in tight.  This ain't pretty or perfect but it

cleaned.  There are some scuffs on both sides and user initials on the
back.  The edges and corners are good and all the rulings are readable.

tip has a wee bit of mushrooming at the end but the edges are good.
Somebody (not me), reforged down some mushrooming on the striking end.
The eye was drilled out a bit, but there is plenty left here.  This

Tyzack Turner No 660 Talisman 22 Inch 10 PT CC Panel Saw.  This weighs 1
lb 6 3/4 oz unboxed.  This is NOS, that's New Old Stock, and was not
cleaned.  There ain't nothing at all to fuss about with this guy.  The
blade is shiny and sharp.  There is a little bit of the protective
coating showing at the toe and a couple of light dings from riding in
the box.  The tote also has couple of tiny dings on the back but the saw
nuts are as good as they get.  This is a quality tool made by an well
respected English saw maker and I have been selling and shipping saws
now for over 25 years so I know what I'm talking about.  $30.00

Vintage Cast Iron Hand Vise Or Handvise.  Measuring 5" long, the jaws
are 1 7/16" wide, and this weighs 14 1/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to
the maker.  This is in fair condition and was cleaned. There is some
overall patina.  The jaws have some pitting on the tops.  The cross
hatching is worn on the one face but it's fairly good on the other
face.  The jaws close up fairly tight.  The screw was replaced at some
point in time and the wing nut is home grown as well.  Somebody added
some solder to keep the screw head captive but that is worn.  The screw
head moves a little but it does stay put to close the jaws.  The spring
and joint do their job.  This one ain't pretty or perfect but it will
get the job done.  $23.00

handles are also good other than light pitting.  This is not a very
commonly found maker of these tools to say the least.  $22.00

1/4" wide across the edge, and this weighs 9 1/4 oz unboxed.  This is in
reasonably good condition and was cleaned. Overall there isn't much in

The steel cutting face has some frosting and light pitting for the first
1/2 and some spots after than but most of that will work out as this is
sharpened, which it will need.  This ain't perfect but they ain't making

Emmert Turtleback Patternmaker Vise To Restore.  This is in as found,
fresh from the shop condition.  There is a bunch of saw dust residue and
shop patina from decades of use.  The front jaw wiggles and it looks
like the inside of the front jaw has some chipping around the hole for
the shaft, but I can't say for sure. The hinge on the mounting bracket
doesn't move but I didn't really nuts with it.  The main screw does
work.  This is missing the tilt bracket and rod but most of the are.

Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile
item
is optional. Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff
via
First Class mail. There will be a small amount added to the shipping
cover the cost of the padded mailer. I don't get them for free.

Please put your name and address in the message. Saves time and email

 traffic!

RARE Hawes Patent 1913 Convertible Ratchet Wrench. The handle is 8
1/8"
long (from the end to the top of the head, and this weighs 1 lb 9 3/4
oz
unboxed. James C. Hawes of Brooklyn, NY was granted Pat. No.
1,050,131
on Jan. 14, 1913 for the design of this tool which was made by the
Convertible Ratchet Wrench Company of Allentown, PA. This is in
decent
condition and was cleaned. There is some overall frosting, some spots

of light pitting, and some dings on the head area. The jaws have a
little mushrooming on the edges and some dings on the insides but are

fairly good. The main screw travels the full distance and was oiled.
The head pivots using the top screw and there are dimples on the
shaft
to hold it in position. The head on the position screw is bent a
little
but that does it's job. The ratchet works in both directions and the
locked position. The handle has some dings, stains, and a little
wear,
but it's solid. This sure ain't minty fresh but it is a tool that
rarely shows up. US Priority Mail Shipping with insurance and
signature
confirmation is included in the price on this item. $275.00

P Carter Hand Forged Millwrights Mill Pick Head. Measuring 8 1/16"
long, the edges are 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" wide, 5/8" high at the eye, and

this weighs 1 lb 2 1/4 oz unboxed. Pulaski Carter was a Scranton PA
based tool maker in business from the 1860's until at least the
1890's.
This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some overall
light
patina. Both of the edges are banged up a bit and would need a
dressing. The punched eye is good. These guys sure have been few and
far between of late, especially a signed one. $23.00

Two Fulton Socket Firmer Chisels. The 1/4" is 8 1/4" overall, the
blade
 is 5 7/8" long, the 1/2" is 8 1/16" overall, the blade is 5 13/16"
long,
and they weigh 7 1/4 oz unboxed. These are in decent condition and
were
cleaned. Both of them have some spots of light pitting on the backs
but
they are clean for the most part. They also have some light pitting
on
the sides and tops. The sockets also have some patina and they 1/2"
has
a whisker of mushrooming on the outside. They will need handles, I
don't have any here that will fit. These ain't perfect but they will
 get the job done. $24.00

Two Vintage Buck Bros Brace Bits. There is a screwdriver bit,
measuring
5/16" across the tip, a countersink bit, 5/8" in diameter, and they
weigh 3 oz unboxed. These are in reasonably good condition and were
cleaned. Both have some staining and a little frosting but nothing
too
bad. The tip on the screwdriver was dressed at some point but it's
good
to go. The edge on the countersink could stand a quick touch up. The
tangs have some dings and the screwdriver bit had a little
mushrooming
removed. These ain't minty fresh but they sure ain't bad. $15.00

Stanley No 60 3/4 Inch Bench Or Paring Chisel. Measuring 4 3/16" from

the edge to the top of the handle, the blade is 2 3/4" long, this is
7
9/16" overall, and this weighs 5 3/4 oz unboxed. This is in
reasonably
good condition and was cleaned. The back is clean other than some
scuffs up by the edge. The top has a few frosted spots. The edge will

need some work. The handle has some dings and light wear. The strike
button also has some dings but still has most of the plating. This
ain't minty but it sure ain't bad either. $18.00

Vintage Stortz Phila Oyster Clam Shucking Knife. Measuring 8 1/2"
overall, the head is 2 3/4" long, 1/2" wide, the handle is 3/4"
square,
and this weighs 14 1/4 oz unboxed. This is in reasonably good
condition
and was cleaned. The head has some light pitting but that's an
occupational hazard with these guys. The edge is good. The handle has

some scaling left over from when this was made and a little patina as

well. There is a wee bit of mushrooming on the end. This ain't minty
but it sure ain't bad and Stortz is a collectible maker of these
tools.
 $24.00

Two Cross Peen Hammer Heads. The upper one is 4 1/16" long, the face
is
5/8" wide, 9/16" high, the peen is 11/16" wide, this weighs 6 3/4,
the
lower one is 4 9/16" long, the face is 13/16" in diameter, the peen
is
15/16" wide, and weighs 14 oz. The upper one is a Stanley, the other
one isn't signed. These are in decent condition and were cleaned. The

body on the Stanley is fairly good other than some scuffs on the top
of
the eye and some scratches on the underside. The other one has some
overall light pitting. The face on the Stanley has some wear, the
other
one has some light pitting.

Detroit Stove Works Anvil Paperweight. Measuring 4 1/4" long, 2 3/16"

high, and this weighs 7 1/2 oz unboxed. There is 22 stamped on the
base, might be a year or a production run number. This is in decent
condition and was lightly cleaned. Just light brushing and wash to
get
rid of some crusty. This is some kind of diecast metal. The original
gold paint is worn but some of it is present. There is some overall
patina going on and it is missing a little bit of the horn. This
ain't
minty but these guys rarely are. $40.00

Wade & Butcher 3/4 Inch Straight Razor. The blade is 3/4" wide and
this
weighs 1 3/4 oz unboxed. This is in good condition and was not
cleaned,
at least by me. The blade is clean save for one small spot on the
front
and some light scuffs. The edge is good and sharp. There is a little
light patina on the handle. The horn handle scales have some wear and

there is a user name lightly marked on the front but they are solid.
This ain't minty but it sure ain't bad. $70.00

Vintage Cast Iron Hand Vise Or Handvise. Measuring 5" long, the jaws
are 1 7/16" wide, and this weighs 14 1/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to

the maker. This is in fair condition and was cleaned. There is some

hatching is worn on the one face but it's fairly good on the other
face. The jaws close up fairly tight. The screw was replaced at some
point in time and the wing nut is home grown as well. Somebody added
some solder to keep the screw head captive but that is worn. The
screw
head moves a little but it does stay put to close the jaws. The
spring
and joint do their job. This one ain't pretty or perfect but it will
 get the job done. $23.00
