I saw today on Facebook that Sam Peterson passed away today.

He was a long time member here.

His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Sad to hear. I remember Sam from the early days of the list. We've lost way
too many of the original cast members since then.  :-(

he lasted the six months he expected...we had a few back and forths after
his announcement to the list that he had six months.  lovely man.  very
well prepared for moving on, or at least that's how he presented in our
exchanges.
