269032 "Andrew B." <andrew.bouland@g...> 2019‑08‑09 Hand crank whatsit
Knowing my penchant for old tools, a friend asked for some assistance with
a hand cranked tool that he found going through an in-laws estate. I'm
guessing a fence puller but haven't ever seen anything of the sort. He'll
try to take a closer look later for any stampings/name but for now, all I
have is a single photo.

Thanks for any insight any can offer.

Kirk, GGs

Interesting, you remove the rim from the tire. Complete opposite to what we do
now.

Thanks, Kirk! Seeing it in use, I'm reminded that I should have known that
one. I've got some old Popular Mechanics from the 30's and I'm fairly
certain I've seen an illustration in one of them of the same tool in
action.
