268492 RH Hutchins <rhhutchins@h...> 2019‑05‑12 Tell Me About Thread Gauges
The 'roundtuit' showed up telling me it's time to get a thread gauge.
The problem is that I don't know which of the several types will best
fit my needs.  Of course the obvious answer is that I */need /*one of
each, but SWMBO is watching a bit too closely of late; so I seek advice
and wise counsel from the galooterati here assembled.

I want to be able to measure thread pitch and cut type in screws and
bolts.  i found this type
(https://www.amazon.com/Glarks-Stainless-Cutting-America-Whitworth/dp/B
07PDRB7TJ/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=thread+gauge&qid=1557695843&s=gateway&sr=8-9">http

and this type
(https://www.amazon.com/OSOF-Multi-Purpose-Cutting-Measuring-Whitworth/

DNF6T/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=thread+gauge&qid=1557695901&s=gateway&sr=8-13)
on Amazon.  Is one better than the other, and, if so, why?  Should I
look for yet another type?

I have a screw/bolt gauge for determining diameter and want to be able
to measure thread pitch in order to match nuts to bolts correctly and to
choose screw types for different jobs.

Thanks in advance.
