As others have said, nice side rabbet plane. I have a harlequin pair
awaiting tuneup and usage.

Yours (per DAT) is probably made by John Gibson, Albany NY, working from
1823 - 1852.  He usually put J. Gibson. / Albany, but yours may not have
had enough real estate.
