266098 <gtgrouch@r...> 2018‑07‑12 Looking for a couple tools, condition doesn't matter
I saw a little display the other day. In was in a place called Ye Olde Log Cabin
in Olcott New York, in the town of Newfane. They had a small group of
woodworking tools. Some were mislabeled, and I gave them the correct names. They
seemed interested in owner made tools more than manufactured tools.

I was left with the impression that they could use a couple of additions. I plan
to donate a molding plane: not usable, but intact enough for use as a display. I
wanted to find a froe (doesn't need to be intact) ideally along with a worn
striking club. Finally, I wanted to find a wooden spoke shave (brass inserts
nice but not necessary) and again, it does not need to be functional.

I would be willing to pay shipping along with a modest acquisition cost. In
part, that's why I'm looking for tools that are not functional.

Let me know if you have anything unused in the corner of your shop,

PS - It would be nice to go out there with a froe and club, along with a shaving
horse and draw knife, and maybe a single-sided hatchet and make some shavings!
Maybe I can get there in the fall.
